Villa Oceana, 2 bedroom house with stunning sea views

Villa Oceana is situated at the edge of the village of Jardim do Mar in an area known as the Pontinha or ' little headland '.
It is reached by a 200m footpath from the village square.
It is 20m above sea level with an uninterrupted 180 degree sea view over the surf break and along the coast to Paul do Mar. Facing West, it enjoys spectacular sunsets and moonlight seascapes.
The pool is located on a separate, slightly lower terrace for the exclusive use of guests staying at our three villas.
The village is a 60 minute drive from the airport and looks out to sea at the foot of spectacular cliffs, on the sunny southwest coast.
This tranquil unspoiled village of old stone houses, narrow cobbled paths and lush gardens is widely considered by both tourists and Madeirans to be one of the most beautiful villages on the island.
The village is small with a population of c350 and is noted for its world class surfing. The village has a small hotel with a restaurant, two friendly bars, a village shop and a library with a free Wi Fi Zone.
A new car park at the edge of the village leaves the village square largely free of parked cars. Access to most of the village is by cobbled footpaths from the square.
A seafront pedestrian promenade provides a beautiful setting for a pleasant stroll.
The little harbour has a slipway for small boats, a clean pebble beach for swimming and snorkelling,and nearby beach-bar.
The next village Calheta (5 min. drive) has a busy marina, a sandy bathing beach, shops, supermarket and several more restaurants.
Whale and dolphin watching or fishing excursions can be arranged from Calheta.
A hire car is virtually essential as the village is not a tourist centre and has minimal public transport.
Some of the island's finest scenery and walking are within a 20 minute drive into the mountains.
Including collecting a hire car, it takes about two and a half hours from landing at the airport to reach Jardim do Mar.
We try to accommodate all of our guests' arrival and departure times, but special arrangements may be necessary for arrivals after 20.00.

Emplacement idéal sur l'ile, dans un village piéton charmant. Le logement est encore mieux que sur la description. La vue de la terrasse (juste au dessus de la piscine) est spectaculaire entre falaise et océan, avec coucher de soleil tous les soirs. On est bercé par le bruit des vagues. Fabuleux !

Beautiful view

Lovely property with everything we needed. Great communication from owners prior to arrival. The views are stunning and we had a lovely time in Madeira.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit fantastischer Lage

Wir wurden vor dem Aufenthalt bereits sehr freundlich von den Vermietern sogar auf Deutsch kontaktiert und bekamen gleich Infos zur Lage, zur Infrastruktur und zum Parken. Man parkt übrigens nicht direkt am Haus, sondern auf dem öffentlichen kostenlosen Parkplatz, denn der Ort ist autofrei. Es ist also sehr ruhig, abgesehen von der Brandung . Vom Balkon und der Terrasse hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf das Meer. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, wir hatten sogar ein Bügeleisen zur Verfügung. Grillen war auch möglich und der Pool war sehr sauber und gepflegt, sowie auch der zugehörige Garten. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, sowie auch die Haushilfe, der Techniker und der Gärtner. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können es sehr empfehlen!

Einmalig gelegenes Objekt mit atemberaubendem Ausblick

Tolles Haus mit ausreichen Platz für vier Personen, sehr schön gelegener Gemeinschaftspool mit reeller Größe, Terrasse mit fantastischem Ausblick, geniale Sonnenuntergänge. Haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Splendide et calme

L'accès par un fin chemin fleuri en terrasse du village est charmant et magique (Attention aux chats!). Chaque lever ou coucher de soleil fut un appel à la sérénité. La disposition du logement (parfaitement décrit) a répondu à toutes nos attentes. Très bonne conception du bâtiment. Je relève juste que la TV ne fonctionnait pas mais nous étions là pour nous et visiter l'île, pas pour regarder des images insipides. Le Wifi est bancal à certaines heures mais pas grave non plus. Une e nos meilleurs vacances. Merci à tous et toutes

Vue imprenable !

Semaine ressourçante à Madère, logement très fonctionnel et la vue sur la terrasse est à couper le souffle! Jardim Do Mar est le plus charmant des villages visités, et bien placé pour visiter une bonne partie de l'île.
