Lovely grounds and lovely owners

The owners could not have made us feel more welcome. The gardens and pool are well kept and lovely to be in. The kitchen was well equipped and for the first time, we didn't have to buy any utensils, chopping boards, pans etc. A great place for a relaxing holiday in beautiful scenery.

It was a brilliant stay at „il Melograno“! Paola and Carlo do make it comfort for everybody. The House was wonderful, the garden nice and the pool excellent. Paola and/or Carlo helped planning the days/trips and their recommendations were always helpful! To make it short: It felt like staying at good Friends! Sadly, however, holiday is to over, but we will come back some day!

The house was very clean and had the perfect surface for our two. Very nice garden around the house. The swimming pool was also in very good condition. The owners were very gently and helpful, we got a lot of good information for gastronomy and excursions. The lady is a perfect host. This is a recommendation for people looking for rest and culture. We would advise it to our nearest contacts.

Beautiful Accommodation and Great Hosts

The apartment we stayed in was very comfortable and well equipped, with a pretty, private, outdoor eating space as well as the beautiful pool and garden area. It’s all very well kept and tranquil too. The location is perfect for sightseeing - Lucca and Barga are fascinating and just a short drive away - and convenient for shops and some great restaurants. The hosts are wonderfully helpful and made us (2 adults and a 3-month old) feel incredibly welcome. We hope to return soon. We also now have a new nickname for our son! Thank you Carlo, Loretta and Paola x

what a wonderful place

we stayed at "Il Melograno" for 13 fantastic days. Paola is an open hearted and adorable person. it was a pleasure to meet her. we had a couple of very interesting talks with her father Carlo. He and his wife cruised all of Europe on his motorbike! we felt more like family than just guest :-) the house itself was a diamond! Paola is very creativ and you can see her love for the detail everywhere. we had "la Natura" and we loved it, because the terrace was just next to the kitchen, so it was very easy to eat outside. We also loved the pool and the garden with the apple, pear and fig trees. The whole place is a beauty! Gallicano is a nice little village and definetly worth to visit. There a two Restaurants "Eliseo" and "da Ale". Both are very good. At "da Ale" you can have Pizza to go. Everything is within walking distance. And it is a good start to do some hiking excursions. It has a wonderful nature! My husband loves to travel by train, so we made our way to Cinque Terre from the train station Barga-Gallicano. It is just 5 Minutes away. It took us maybe 45 Minutes longer, but it was a nice trip. You can also go to Pisa, Lucca and Firenze by train easily. The tickets are very cheap and easy to buy from the machine via card. we are so happy we found Il Melograno. there is just left to say: GraZie MiLLe per tutto. Arrivederci a presto :-) Daniela. Excellent séjour en Toscane.

Très bon accueil de Carlo. Hébergement irréprochable et confortable. Après une chaude journée de visite, nous avons particulièrement apprécié la piscine. Carlo et Paola ont toujours été de bon conseil pour les touristes que nous sommes. Merci beaucoup à nos hôtes qui nous ont reçu comme des amis.

Erholung und Entspannung

Die Gastgeberin Paola hat uns sehr nett und in gutem Englisch empfangen, mit vielen Infos zum Haus und zur Umgebung. Es ist alles sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und gepflegt, Haus Pool und Garten. Da ist Carlo die gute Seele und der grüne Daumen. Auf Nachfrage haben wir auch ein Grill bekommen. Kleine Mängel sind ein fehlender Backofen, kann die Mikrowelle leider nicht ersetzen und so "Retro" Badekappen am Pool, ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß( die 70iger lassen grüßen)und das grelle Licht auf der Terrasse- etwas indirekter wäre toll. Obst gab es von den Gastgebern frei Haus je nach Ernte im Garten- Pflaumen, Birnen und Feigen. Ein guter Ort für Ausflüge nach Lucca, Pisa und in die Versilia mit ihren Badeorten( Empfehlung Le Dune Spiaggia Libero bei Forte dei Marmi) oder für Wandertouren in die Berge, oder einfach mal einen Nachmittag am Pool entspannen. Ein Tipp für Fleischliebhaber Antica Macelleria Nutini mit Restaurant in Piano di Coreglia. Paolo ist ei Erlebnis 🥩🥩🥩.

Mooie locatiemet een uitnodigend zwembad die echt nodig is bij temperaturen boven de 35 graden.

Zeer vriendelijke familie met de dochter Paola die alles in de puntjes uitlegde. Je voelt je zeer op je gemak op dit familienamen met vader Carlo die af en toe een babbeltje maakt met de gasten.👍👍👍

Mooi verblijf

We werden geweldig ontvangen door Paola en familie. Veel tips over de bezienswaardigheid, resto enz.. we hadden huisje Natura, geen aparte kamer voor dochter. Airco is 5 euro per dag maar goed geïsoleerd en niet echt nodig. Alles is voorzien in het huis met leuk terras tussen de fruitbomen waar je mag van eten. Rekening houden dat het telkens wel minimum halfuurtje rijden is als je ergens naartoe wilt. Minpuntje is vroege sluitingsuur zwembad ( 19u) en dragen van badmuts ( die je gratis krijgt ). Max 4 gezinnen op domein dus rustig! Een aanrader.

Tolle Unterkunft

Unsere Erwartungen wurden positiv übertroffen. Die Anlage ist hervorragend gepflegt und liebevoll gestaltet. Von den Eigentümern wurden wir herzlich aufgenommen und bestens beraten. Die Lage eignet sich für viele Ausflüge in eine atemberaubende Landschaft und Kultur. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen!

Très bon séjour à Gallicano.

Belle propriété très agréable tout comme le gîte. Paola nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de disponibilités. Nous avons apprécié ses conseils et son aide pour l organisation de notre séjour. Nous recommandons vivement l'adresse.

Superschöner Urlaub

Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr kreativ und mit sehr viel Liebe konzipiert. in den Ferienwohnungen ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Paula und auch ihre Eltern sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und geben auch sehr gute Tipps. Gerne wieder. Liebe Grüße Martina und Maximilian

Schöne +liebevoll gepflegte Anlage + toller Pool + tolle Gastgeber (Paola ist super- viele Tipps .. Ausflüge /Restaurants/Wanderungen usw. wir kommen sicher wieder 😀

Toller Urlaub

Paola ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend und hat immer ein offenes Ohr! Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen. Die Hauptstraße ist zwar ab und an etwas laut aber die Unterkunft, der Garten und der Pool sind klasse!
