With a perfect location in the southwestern corner of Lake Tahoe, this 4BR/3BA Rubicon Bay rental is ideal for both adventure and relaxation alike. Access hiking, swimming and skiing in minutes, and drive just a few miles to top-notch dining at the West Shore Café in Homewood.

In summer, you’ll enjoy access to a private beach, the Rubicon Bay Homeowner Association South Beach.

You’ll love this home’s split-level layout with both a living room and a casual den, as well as a deck on each floor. The top-level deck is a true showstopper, thanks to its gorgeous lake and mountain views. Take a seat at the table or stretch out on a lounger and enjoy this coveted vantage point.


This totally renovated, split-level home starts with a spacious, open-concept main floor. The living area features new wood and slate floors and wood-plank ceilings. Large windows let in lots of light and views of the lake. Watch sailboats from the sofa and keep cozy with a wood-burning fireplace on chilly nights.

There are three flat screen, satellite-enabled TVs, two of them Smart TVs that can stream Netflix and more. With free Wi-Fi throughout, staying connected is a breeze.

Family feasts find their perfect setting here. The kitchen boasts an 11-foot island, two ovens, and a 36” induction cooktop (please only use the provided pots and pans on the induction surface). A separate beverage refrigerator chills your wine or sodas.

With a formal dining table for eight and a casual breakfast nook in the kitchen nearby, there’s plenty of room for your group to eat together. Even more guests can head out to the deck for dinner with a view.

This home accommodates up to 11 guests, with four bedrooms and three full baths. The first bedroom, located on them main floor, has a queen bed, a 32” TV, and an attached bath with a gorgeous walk-in shower.

Downstairs, you’ll find the remaining three bedrooms: one with a king bed, another with a twin-over-full bunk, and one with a full-size bed. Two more guests can claim the double-sized sofa bed in the downstairs den. The den also boasts a 50” flat screen TV and a wet bar with a small refrigerator, coffee machine, and access to the second deck.

There are two full bathrooms downstairs, one with a shower and another with a claw foot tub and shower.

Amenities include a stainless stackable washer/dryer and parking for two cars in the driveway.

Great family place but expensive

Wonderful property - recently updated and well appointed! Definitely get views of the lake - we even had the Super Moon and it was beautiful! I'd probably come and stay here again - would appreciate a few minor improvements given that we paid almost $1000 per night!

Things for improvement:

1. Better cleaning service - too many cobwebs on the light fixtures in particular and general lack of hygiene (towels on the plunger). We didn't take shoes beyond the mud room in the entry area - so it was easy to tell that the floors needed a good cleaning (our socks were blackened in a matter of a few minutes).

2. Short on toiletries: no soap in one of the bathrooms; the TP was also woefully inadequate for a party of 9 people (and this house is for up to 11 people).

3. The parking is not as advertised. There is no way to park 2 vehicles in the driveway as mentioned in my rental contract (or somewhere else). Parking can be better marked.

4. The owners seem to have a pet (or two). There was a kitty litter container and the blankets had pet hair. We wish we had known this earlier due to family allergies. We made the assumption this was pet free property based on the penalties outlined in the contract.
