Secluded Cotswold Retreat with views

Bury Fields Cottage is located down a quiet lane a short walk from picturesque village of Bourton on the Water, known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds'. Surrounded by meadows belonging to the wildlife trust and with far-reaching views of rolling countryside, guests have a selection of walks, sight-seeing, restaurants and pubs all on the doorstop. Well behaved dogs (1 large or 2 medium sized) are welcome. Car parking and outside seating.
The space
As well as spacious open plan living room with kitchen/dining/ sitting, we have created an amazing mezzanine gallery with large gable window overlooking the surrounding fields and stunning countryside. Perfect for evening drinks or younger guests to enjoy as a play area / den with bean bags.
Guest access
An easy walk into Bourton on the Water to enjoy all it offers. There is storage available for bicycles. To explore the Cotswold villages and other places of interest it is best to drive.

Great property! Location spot on (down a quiet lane) as Bourton can get very busy in peak season. Co-op 10 mins walk, also great walks direct from property for morning dog walk. Ideal location in Cotswolds as fairly central to most areas of interest for days out. Would highly recommend

Lovelycomfortable cottage in the countryside with beautiful views. Ideal for exploring Bourton on the Water and all its attractions. Visited Snowshill Manor (National Trust) which was fascinating.

We had an excellent week staying at this property. We were greeted by the property owner and even though we were slightly early the property was clean and ready for us. We enjoyed the quietness and seclusion of the cottage. It was equipped with everything we needed and had a lovely dog walk right on the doorstep. We would highly recommend.

Lovely place to stay. Great local walks and so much to do in the area. This is a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds. Clean, comfortable, and we had a wonderful week here, with a newborn and our dog.

Excellent

From booking to arrival and departure this property surpasses any that we have previously stayed at. Quiet spot with welcoming hosts and the best ever shower. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in the Cotawold

Great space and location. Hosts had great information for the area. We were just 2 but would be great for two couples. So quiet, right on walking paths to Bourton on the water (less than 10 minutes), and into the country. Would stay there again.

Fabulous property with everything you’d possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location of the property was also great as it felt quite secluded but was actually only a 10 minute walk into Bourton centre (a decent torch is recommended though if you’re walking back at night as the lane is not lit). The property owner was lovely to deal with and left us a welcome pack which was very thoughtful.

Wonderful for families with kids

We had a lovely time staying in this nice modern holiday let situated in the beautiful serene countryside of Bourton on the water. Highly recommend it for families with kids. The games room is great and the farm, village and shops are all within walking distance.

It was a delightful converted barn. The accommodation was very comfortable and what we expected from the website. Very convenient to walk into Bourton and countryside.

Great little cottage in perfect location

Bury Fields Cottage is situated in a beautiful quiet rural location but just a short walk from the facilities of Bourton-on-the-Water. The property has quality furnishing and comfortable beds. Great base to explore the amazing Cotswold villages!

Lovely stay!

We enjoyed our long weekend stay at Bury Fields. Great power shower, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and good location, near the town but in the countryside. Would recommend bringing some coat hangers with you as mentioned in a few previous reviews but this is a very minor point. Overall a lovely stay, thank you.

Comfortable well appointed property

Well equipped, comfortable and homely, with everything you might need for a break away. In beautiful countryside with excellent walks straight from the door, whilst only 5 minutes or so walk to the village. We definitely hope to return some time.

The central heating was set to minimal - the electric fire did not work - owner checked heating settings and said were ok . We decided to leave a day early and expressing our unhappiness with the warmth of the property and were then told the fan could be used as supplementary heater !!!!!

The central heating in the cottage is set to 21 degrees in the mornings and late afternoon and evening so hardly minimum! John the guest was there when I checked it and saw that the system is set at that and the fan heater is clearly there in the corner of the room. The cottage is highly insulted so even when the system drops to a minimum of 18 degrees in late morning and early afternoon it still stays very warm.
