Sitting off a quiet local lane in the peaceful countryside area of Font Xica, this charming house enjoys a special location. From this lovely property the best of all worlds can easily be enjoyed with both the covered front terrace and sparkling private swimming pool boasting beautiful views of the mature, well-tended gardens and surrounding rural locale yet, at the same time you are only a ten minute drive from the impressive beach of Puerto Pollença or the celebrated Roman town of Pollença both full of amenities and many excellent restaurants.
Owned by the same local family for many years, Ca'l Rei has been lovingly cared for and retains the feel, atmosphere and appeal of a traditional Mallorcan rural house.
Internally, simple yet stylish décor including pretty local ceramics and fabrics, terracotta tiled floors and various items of rural memorabilia, creates a very welcoming ambience. The kitchen is a good size, an additional snug/mezzanine sits to one end of the elongated living/dining room and those lovely rural views are easily admired via large picture windows in each of the air conditioned bedrooms. All in all this is a property in which guests will quickly feel at home.
Focal point externally is the alluring private pool, bordered by a garden of scented rose bushes, tall palms and fruit trees. To one side the large in-built barbecue has an L-shaped covered terrace adjacent, perfect for outside dining on balmy summer evenings. A true labour of love for the current owners, mature gardens envelope the house and are a botanical feast of lawn, flora and fauna, interspersed with occasional pieces of modern art, further adding to the feeling of relaxed country living.
It is true to say that we did not want to leave this pastoral oasis and we are sure that you will not want to do so either however, do not overlook the myriad attractions of nearby Pollença town (4.3km) or, indeed, the beautiful beach and bay of Puerto Pollença (5.2km) and sandy cove beaches of Cala Sant Viçente (5.6km) which are all within easy reach.
Air conditioning usage is on a timer (12 hours per day).
Ground Floor: Living/dining room (TV, DVD, WiFi) with French doors to terrace. Snug/mezzanine. Kitchen (oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher). Double bedroom (A/C). Two twin bedrooms each with A/C. Bathroom. Shower room.
