Light and airy bungalow with large terrace & heated outdoor pool

Modern comfortable single-story house with large south facing terrace situated in a relaxing rural location surrounded by lovely peaceful countryside. Ideally situated to explore the region with Le Mont Saint Michel just 25 minutes away.

The living area is open plan which makes it a very light and airy environment with plenty of windows plus 2 large patio doors leading to different areas of the garden.

There are 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom has a super- king-size bed, plenty of wardrobe space and chest of drawers plus dressing table. The bathroom is immediately next door with shower, WC and vanity unit.
The second bedroom has 2 single beds, wardrobe and drawer units and en-suite bathroom with shower, WC and vanity unit.

The kitchen, with fridge freezer and dishwasher leads to the front large comfortable terrace where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the countryside. The terrace has salon furniture, table, chairs and parasol. The garden is laid to lawn, with some rockeries, pants, sunbeds and BBQ. There is also a herb garden - please help yourself!

The open plan lounge has 2 very comfortable cream leather sofas, a 48 inch wide TV screen, music centre and plenty of CD’s and DVD’s to keep everyone entertained. The open plan dining area has a table and seats up to 8 people and via the large patio doors leads out to a completely private al fresco dining area with table and 4 chairs, and is a perfect sun trap in the afternoons.

There is ample parking in front of the house..

The pool is open May to September and is a heated outdoor above ground pool which adds to security and safety. The large raised terrace has sun-beds, patio set and umbrella for extra comfort. There is also a foot bath and solar powered shower. The pool is sheltered with 3 sides of tall hedgerows and beautiful archways full of passion flowers and climbing roses.

The pool is shared with 2 other properties at Les Basses Beaulinges. Each property has their own garden all of which have plants and tall hedges to screen the gardens so that none of the properties overlook one another.

Animals
Dogs are welcome, subject to approval, please request at time of booking and identify the breed. We do not accept cats.

Our nearest town of Ducey has beautiful gardens, a chateau and a weir. There are a selection of shops including Boucherie, Patisserie, Hairdressers, Pharmacie and large Carrefour supermarket.

Further afield you can explore Le Mont St Michel which is just 25 minutes away, St Malo, Cancale, Dinan, Granville, Bayeux plus a choice of quiet or family beaches. We are also the perfect location for a day out to the Normandy landing beaches.

Nice but cleaning not included

We really enjoyed our stay. It's a charming house with thick stone walls, which were pretty, but interfered significantly with the WiFi signal. Great signal from the room with 2 twin beds, which has an attached bathroom. No signal from the larger king room, where the bathroom is adjacent. Spotty signal from the living room. The washer is in the twin room's bathroom. No issue that there was no dryer, but it was humid during our stay so air drying took nearly 24h. Plan accordingly. The main downside is the fact that no cleaning is provided, not even after your stay. You are expected to scrub everything yourself at the end of your stay, and who has time for that on vacation? The alternative is to leave cash for them to clean. I'd state the amount, but VRBO won't let me. This also made me question how clean the unit was if the prior guests might have cleaned in a hurry to avoid the fee. In my opinion, the rental should require the fee and include a thorough cleaning, or at least state the extra fee clearly when booking. The host was extremely nice, great communication via WhatsApp (in French), and very helpful. The location is scenic, but very remote, down narrow country roads. A bit difficult to find at night, but GPS got us there. A cute town is not far, and it was convenient for a visit to Mont Saint Michel. I would definitely stay here again with the cleaning fee factored into the cost.

A modern home in a very rural setting

In a lovely, quiet, pastoral setting it's a modern, super clean, new two bedroom home with more than enough room for a family. There is a lot of outside seating, games, DVDs and Sky TV. The pool is nice, but small, and is shared between three houses. Master bedroom could use a new mattress, it's very soft. It's 30 minutes to Mont St. Michel and the location is exceptionally secluded. It's 5 Km to the nearest town and the roads are not family friendly for biking to get there. While the kitchen is completely stocked with cooking equipment, outside of a salt shaker and a couple bags of tea, you'd need to bring everything with you. Because of the isolated location, it's important to know the internet is spotty. It was simply not possible to have a video meeting during our stay, but for those with no lingering work commitments or a need to use Netflix it's good enough.

Bon plan !

La description est au dessous du niveau réel de la location. Il s'agit bien d'une vraie maison et non d'un " bungalow" , où rien ne manque. Nathalie est une personne charmante . Vous pouvez réserver en toute tranquillité . Comme il faut bien mettre une petite réserve , seule l'info du Mont St Michel à environ 10 minutes en voiture est optimiste .Mieux vaut prévoir 25 à 30 minutes. Allez y , vous n'aurez aucun regret.

Superb

This is a beautiful property. Absolutely faultless. Excellent design, including the layout of the bedrooms and their bathrooms. There was everything we needed in the property and it was a bonus to have Sky tv. The outdoor area was lovely, with a huge patio table and chairs plus a small pool that we would have used had our stay been in the summer. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here and we will happily return.

Ein traumhafter Urlaub in einem kleinen Paradies

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist sehr groß und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Mit zwei Kindern und Hund hatten wir ausreichend Platz. Dass es zwei Badezimmer gibt, ist großartig. Sehr praktisch, dass es nicht nur die große Terrasse sondern auch noch einen zweiten Platz zum Sitzen gibt. Da haben wir den Schatten genutzt, wenn es zu heiß war. Der Pool ist fantastisch, das Wasser ist warm und sauber. Die anderen Unterkünfte auf dem Grundstück sind so weit entfernt, dass jeder seine Privatsphäre hat. Und dann sind da noch Linda und Mark - zwei sehr angenehme, interessante Menschen. Es hat großen Spaß gemacht, mit ihnen über das Leben und Frankreich zu philosophieren. Bis Mont-Saint-Michel sind es etwa 30 Minuten, zu den Stränden auch. Ein kleiner Geheimtipp ist das Restaurant " Le Autre Cafe", ein bemerkenswerter Ort. Wir waren mit unserem Urlaub sehr zufrieden und sind glücklich, dieses kleine Paradies "Les Basses Beaulinges" gefunden zu haben. Wir können eine Reise dorthin nur wärmstens empfehlen. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is very large and tastefully furnished. With two children and a dog, we had enough space. The fact that there are two bathrooms is great. Very practical that there is not only the large terrace but also a second place to sit. There we used the shade when it was too hot. The pool is fantastic, the water is warm and clean. The other accommodations on the property are far enough away that everyone has their privacy. And then there are Linda and Mark - two very pleasant, interesting people. It was great fun to philosophise with them about life and France. It's about 30 minutes to Mont-Saint-Michel, and to the beaches too. A little insider tip is the restaurant " Le Autre Cafe", a remarkable place. We were very satisfied with our holiday. We are delighted to have found the little paradise of "Les Basses Beaulinges". We can only warmly recommend a trip there.

Wir verbrachten zu viert 10 herrliche Tage bei Lynda und Marc. Das Haus ist bestens geeignet für 2 Paare bzw. Eltern mit Kindern. Die Küche bietet alles, was man braucht; der Wohnraum ist großzügig und geschmackvoll. Beide Schlafzimmer haben ein eigenes Bad. Lynda und Marc sind sehr liebe und aufmerksame Gastgeber.

Séjour agréable

Maison avec grand confort et très propre. Literie au top! Localisation entre mer et bocage appréciable. Accueil sympathique. Le seul petit bémol est la proximité du camping car des propriétaires qui ont été discrets par ailleurs. Merci pour ce séjour agréable!

Osterferien im Bungalow

Très belle location tenue par un couple charmant

Très bien accueilli par un couple charmant et très sympa, le bungalow est très propre avec beaucoup de charme et possède tout le nécessaire. Le terrain est joli et très bien entretenu par les hôtes ainsi que l'espace piscine. Magnifique séjour !

Nous avons réservé le "Bungalow" pour une semaine, qui est en réalité est une magnifique maison, très spacieuse, entourée de verdure, bien aménagée avec tout le confort, les enfants avaient leur propre sdb à coté de leur chambre, l'environnement est très calme, nous parlions l'anglais alors la communication avec les propriétaires étaient facile. Les enfants ont pu profiter tout le temps de la piscine car elle est chauffée. Notre petit chien a lui aussi été bien accueilli, ce qui est génial ! Nous reviendrons, allez-y les yeux fermés.

Idyllische Wohlfühloase

Das Ferienhaus ist überraschend groß und schön eingerichtet, sehr sauber und ruhig gelegen. Der Pool ist sauber und angenehm warm. Das ganze Anwesen ist sehr schön gepflegt und liebevoll angelegt. Die Gastgeber Lynda und Marc sind super nett und fürsorglich. Sie beantworteten gerne alle Fragen und geben super Tipps für Ausflüge und haben uns sogar zu einem Geheimtipp, einer Gaststätte im Wald am Fluss, begleitet, die wir alleine nie entdeckt hätten. Herzlichen Dank dafür!!! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Week end à la campagne entre Le Mont St Michel et St Malo

Lynda et Mark sont sympathiques et offrent un accueil chaleureux. La maison dans laquelle nous avons séjourné est agréable et spacieuse, notamment la chambre parentale. Une maison très propre et bien équipée (vaisselle, draps, serviettes, lave-vaisselle et machine à laver le linge). Le jardin permet aux enfants de jouer et de se défouler pendant que l’on prépare les repas. Nous avons profité de notre week end pour visiter le Mont Saint Michel (moins de 30 min en voiture) et également la station balnéaire Saint Malo à 1 heure de route. La météo change beaucoup, nous avons eu la chance d’avoir un beau soleil à St Malo alors que la météo prévoyait un ciel nuageux !

Ein großartiger Urlaub

Das Haus von Mark & Lynda liegt ein wenig versteckt mitten im nirgendwo. Mit Navi ist es prima erreichbar und ist man erstmal da, dann ist es ein Traum. Die Anlage inkl. des Pools ist sehr gepflegt, das haus war super sauber und desinfiziert. Mark & Lynda sind immer für ein Schwätzchen zu haben, geben auf Wunsch gute Tips und helfen auch mal mit der passenden "Zaubermedizin" bei einem fiesen Wespenstich. Ansonsten sind sie zwar vor Ort (in ihrem Wohnmobil) aber lassen die Gäste einfach machen. Im Umkreis gibt es viel zu sehen, wenn man mit dem Auto ein paar Minuten fahren will. Rundum würden wir jedem, der in das Grenzgebiet Normandie/Bretagne fahren will vorbehaltlos die Häuser von Lynda & Mark empfehlen. Vielleicht sehen wir uns ja mal wieder... Danke für die tolle Zeit.

Séjout très agréable dans une belle région. La location est située à proximité de sites touristiques intéressants. Le logement en lui même est très grand et très confortable, très bien équipé. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et très accessibles.

Traumhaftes Feriendomizil

Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Mitten in der Natur und doch nicht weit weg von Supermarkt und anderen Ausflugszielen. Das Haus ist für 4 Personen sehr groß und geräumig. Was uns sehr gut gefallen hat, waren die 2 separaten Badezimmer. Die Außenalage ist sehr verzorgt und jedes Haus hat seine eigene Liegewiese. Der Pool ist eine kleine Wohlfühloase. Alles war Top und die Vermieter sind sehr herzliche Menschen. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder und empfehlen dieses Objekt gern weiter. Guy und Iris
