Awel y Mor is a seafront property furnished and decorated in beach house style in a quiet cul de sac in the seaside resort of Tywyn where the mountains meet the sea on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.

The delights of Cardigan Bay with its panoramic sea views and spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed from the first floor balcony or garden patio while dolphins and seals can sometimes be seen swimming and at play. From the paved garden, open the gate, cross the pedestrian promenade and step down to the sandy beach, ideal for swimming, surfing, water sports and fishing or just sit in the sunshine and enjoy the view. Outside furniture is provided for both balcony and patio.

The Victorian town of Tywyn offers a comprehensive range of facilities within walking distance while the Tallyllyn steam railway begins its scenic journey into the Snowdonia National Park from here. This is walker's paradise with walks ranging from gentle rambles to challenging mountain peaks on your doorstep, and for the golfing enthusiast there is even a championship course in Aberdovey, only 4 miles away.

The surrounding area also provides opportunities for cycling, horse riding or exploring by car with castles, gardens, museums and family parks all within comfortable driving distance.

The living area has 2 sofas, a TV, DVD player and a CD/radio while meals can be taken while watching the ever changing sea and skies through the picture windows.

The well equipped kitchen has mountain views and comes complete with oven, microwave, washing machine and fridge with a small freezer compartment as well as toaster, kettle, iron etc

The bathroom has a WC, washbasin and bath with shower over and is on the ground floor.

There are 2 bedrooms downstairs with the double bedroom overlooking the sea. Just imagine being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves and waking up to a wonderful sea view!
The bunk bedroom has full sized bunk beds

There is central heating throughout and off road parking. Wifi is also available. No smoking or pets please.

Great communication. Absolutely fantastic place to stay, possibly the best I've ever rented. It is really well equipped and cosy. There are beautiful views across the bay at the front, (you couldn't be better placed for the beach), and lovely views of the mountains from the kitchen. I would definitely book again.

Lovely little place by the sea

This is a great place to stay in Tywyn. The main bedroom doors open straight onto the beach which is a great way to wake up. In the evening sitting on the balcony watching the sunset is idyllic. It's small but well laid out with everything you need for a few days at the sea side.

The property is located perfectly! and has an amazing view. Overall it could do with a refresh, but it was perfect for us and what we required. Anna went above and beyond for us. Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed staying here - we were very comfortable and could not get over how close we were to the sea - awestruck! The house is beautifully presented with great attention to detail, well-equipped, clean and pristine. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Great views from the balcony and terrace. Also from the lounge and dining area. Both 5 star.The negatives with this property are that it is in need of updating. Eg chipped paint. Windows and doors have rust, and are difficult to open. For some reason there is concrete in some window corners making the windows difficult to open. Water doesn’t drain from the bathroom sink properly - drainage pipe needs to be cleaned.Only 1 full cheap toilet roll provided.It has a TV and DVD ( some DVDs), but no cable to connect the TV and DVD playerVery low uncomfortable settees that sag in the middle.Cheap worn plastic chairs on patioParasol is provided but the pin that holds the umbrella bit up has gone.Oven filthy - see photosNo air extraction from kitchenHas a washing machine which is generally not needed for a weeks holiday, but no dishwasher. A dishwasher would also enable the cleaner to clean any items left dirty by previous occupants.We have enjoyed our stay but the standards are below those we would expect for 125 per night.

Great Location

The property is in an absolutely ideal location just off the beach, we were treated to amazing sunsets and epic tides, Tywyn itself is a lovely town with just about everything you need within walking distance. Host/housekeeper were immediately responsive to a minor electrical issue on arrival, someone was round within 15 minutes. Probably the best review I can give is that we’re already looking to book next year!

You are virtually on the beach, meals overlooking the crashing waves and watching sunsets. Lovely comfortable bed ensures great night sleep.

A relaxing time by the sea

This is our third visit to Tywyn and this property which suits us perfectly. The stairs maybe a problem for some but apart from that we found the whole house clean, well decorated and furnished. You will be hard put to find a property so close to the sea and promenade. Tywyn is a lovely small town with a wonderful Cinema. Try the light railway or even the BR trains to Barmouth.

well i give this apartment 10/10,absolutely fabulous,location to die for ,,apartment very clean and well looked after,everything you need for your self catering break is catered for,bedrooms on ground floor kitchen diner on first floor making the most of the beautiful sea view,, comfortable furniture to relax and watch the tv with freeview netflix and prime,,also excellent . wi fi.can not wait to return ,,yvonne

Fabulous stay in a fabulous location.

We needed a place to relax after a busy period of working and this was it !. Immaculately clean and well presented with everything we needed. Right on the beachfront , with fabulous views all around. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves , heading home very refreshed. Thankyou to Anna for letting us stay in wonderful property

Des and Helen go to Tywyn

First time back to Tywyn in 40 years. Not our first choice but due to Covid restrictions we thought a safe choice. Everything was as promised, We cannot complain. The property was as advertised, clean and tidy. Su and her husband were very helpful, and Anna the owner was open and responsive to any query we had. We recommend this property to anyone viewing it.

Overall very happy with our holiday

The accommodation was clean and tidy, bar some mould around the Bath tub. Views were excellent over the sea and towards the mountains Very good attractions locally May have been useful to see a floor plan in advance of our visit so we could assess the access for our disabled daughter. (We were aware the property wasn’t disabled access, but didn’t quite realise the lay out of the stairs) Thank you for being understanding and very accommodating Anna. The cleaning lady was very nice too when we left on Friday. Would recommend to any future visitors. Many thanks Jay, Toni, Jessica and Alex Johnson

Tywyn by the Sea

Great views of sea and fabulous mountains behind property. We even saw a dolphin on our first evening. Property comfortable and practical. Lots of places to visit locally and enjoyed relaxing on the balcony.

A little bit of welsh magic

Great property to stay-in, very clean, comfy flat with all the facilities including needed for a relaxing break. The flat is blessed with awesome sea views to while away time BUT get up and get out - there's lots do and see.... walk along the coast for coffee, catch the steam train or take the mainline along the coast to Barmouth, Harlech etc., walk in the shadow of Cadair Idris to visit waterfall valleys, tranquil woods and fascinating industrial sites. See sunken forest on the beach, hear the sea and breathe the fresh air. Tywyn is great, friendly small town with a great friendly local pub and Indian restaurant. There are other smart places to eat and is served by supermarkets and local businesses. This is one of Wales's hidden gems - enjoy. Thank you to Anna for our stay - we will definitely be back.

Perfect little Beach house

Beautiful well maintained little house, everything you could possibly need for your holiday is provided. The interior decor is very stylish and clean. The views from the balcony are to die for, Large variety of sea birds and Dolphins by day, and fantastic views of the stars at night . wish I was still there.

A lovely home from home

What a beautiful modern house this is, a real gem of a find! Everything you could possibly want was provided (except the food of course!) including a couple of toilet rolls in the sumptuous bathroom. Everything was perfect and immaculately clean. The bathroom's huge, the shower lovely (and didn't leak as they do in some places we've stayed at!). The bed was really comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for all your bits and bobs. The living/dining room was also huge and the sofas were really comfy, ideal for relaxing after a hard day's walking along the seafront and town. The kitchen was really well-stocked with everything you could possibly need including washing machine, microwave, fridge, cooker and plenty of cupboards (one of which was full of condiments which we found was very handy). It's situated right by the sea, the waves were really spectacular when we stayed. All in all, we'd definitely love to stay here again.

A family holiday to remember

We arrived at Persawr y Mor in Tywyn not sure what to expect, however we had nothing to worry about and were really impressed. The house was as we had read and seen on the website, and the views from the balcony are absolutely stunning. The house was nicely decorated, clean and tidy and had everything we needed. My interaction with Anna (owner) when I was looking into booking the house was excellent, efficient and understanding, and this continued through the holiday and on our return. We have already recommended the house to friends and family, and are looking to return ourselves. Tywyn where the house is situated is relatively quiet, but there is a lovely new Coop just round the corner from the house, some coffee shops and pub, as well as a crazy golf, pitch & putt and tennis courts. And just a short drive down the road (roughly 10 minutes) you are in Aberdovey where there are a number of lovely pubs & coffee shops, for lunches or evening meals. You also have a lovely beach and a pier for plenty of crabbing and then 2 leisure centres not that far away for those not so nice days! As a family of four we would highly recommend this property and area to you.
