About this property

Cosy Cottage with log burner, in the hart of the Norfolk countryside

Set in the beautiful village of Buxton in the heart of Norfolk. Jasmine Cottage is the perfect peaceful getaway. This holiday retreat is fully equipped with everything you will need to make your stay a memorable one and can accommodate up to 4 people in two bedrooms.
Jasmin cottage was built in 1828 and when you go through the doors you go back in time. A large brick fireplace with wood burner, for cosy night in, low wooden doors and white wash walls.
We have added some modern touches to the cottage with stylish sofa with cushions and throws and 50-inch smart TV equipped with Alexa, Freeview, Netflix and other channels available with you own login.
At the back of the cottage, you will find the well-equipped kitchen. With electric cooker, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Dining table and chairs/stools for four people.
From the kitchen you will find the stairs which take you to the first floor. The stairs are steep and winding and may not suit people with mobility issues.
Off the landing you will find the first bedroom with two single 3-foot beds with shared bedside table, lamp, wireless phone charging point and a wardrobe with hanging space, sloping ceiling. Further along the landing is the family bathroom with bath, shower over the bath, toilet and sink. Then you get to the second bedroom at the front of the cottage. This room has a standard double 4’6 nickel metal bedstead, bedside table and reading laps each side with wireless phone charging point, dressing table, draws, full length mirror and some hanging space. You will not want to get out of bed once you have seen the views over the meadow and river.
At the back of the cottage is a small court yard garden with outside seating and BBQ.
The cottage is heated with radiators which are heated by the back boiler on the log burner. Electric heaters are also available if needed. All bed linen and towels, Wi-Fi (21 to 25Mbps) logs for wood burner are included as well as a welcome pack. Parking is on the road outside.
No smoking is allowed inside the property. We have stairs gates and fire guards available if needed.
The Cottage is located on Mill Street in Buxton Norfolk and yes it has the old mill at the end of it with the river Bure and a lovely meadow all of which can been seen from the cottage windows. The village of Buxton has a well-stocked village shop and post office, one of the best fish and chip shops in Norfolk as well as a village pub. The cottage is a great base for walks, cycling, River swimming and boating, and star gazing at night due to minimal light pollution. We also have the Bure Vally steam railway which runs through the village from the market town of Aylsham to the capital of the Norfolk Broads Wroxham. It’s a nine-mile track which also has a footpath running alongside.
Buxton is surrounded by plenty of other small villages with lovely pubs and restaurants. We are only 13 miles from the sea you can soon get to visit Cromer, Sheringham, Mundesley and Walcot, all offering lovely beaches, golf courses, cafés, shops and pubs. Back inland you have the market towns of North Walsham, Aylsham as well as Wroxham in the Norfolk Broads National Park and the historic City of Norwich, and much more.
The popular seaside towns of Cromer, 14 miles away, is within a short drive. Cromer has a long promenade, a great beach, a pier which offers seasonal end of pier shows, Amazona Zoo, and a town centre with shops and pubs.
Sheringham 18 miles away is home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway, National Trust’s Sheringham Park, a lovely sandy beach, a leisure centre and a town centre with shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs.
The market town of North Walsham, 8 miles away, offers all amenities, including a train station to visit the coast or the city of Norwich.
The market town of Aylsham 4 miles away offers all amenities, including Bure Valley Steam Railway which takes you to Wroxham on the Norfolk Broads stopping at some lovely Norfolk villages on the way. You also have the stunning National Trust’s Blickling Hall.
Wroxham 6 miles away, is in the Norfolk Broads National Park known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, offers daily boat hire and river trips, plenty of waterside restaurants, shops and cafés.
The historic City of Norwich 10 miles away, has two indoor shopping malls, a lovely market square, a theatre, cinema complexes, a castle museum, cafés and restaurants.
Norfolk has so much to offer and things to see and do which we can help you with on request.

Lovely Cottage
Jasmine Cottage is a beautiful place to spend a holiday. Very well equipped with everything you could ask for. Situated in a quiet area with lots to do without too much traveling. We would certainly use it again and is highly recommended.
