Self Catering Apartment In A Beautiful 16th Century Building

Set in the hills on the western shore of Lake Garda with fantastic views across the bay of Salò the apartment offers self catering accommodation in a beautiful 16th century building. The historic ‘Il Palazzo’ has been converted into apartments which are surrounded by beautiful gardens and a communal swimming pool (open June to September). The apartment is located in a scenic & unspoilt location yet only a few minutes drive from the town of Salò with it’s charming cafes, shops & restaurants and a range of watersports, activities & amenities. Salò also boasts the longest promenade on Lake Garda (possibly in the whole of Italy) stretching from the Duomo and old town, past an array of bars & restaurants to the marina and finally to a lovely beach area. It offers a perfect location for couples, families & friends looking for a quiet relaxed holiday and also provides an ideal base for those wanting to explore the lake & surrounding area. After the lakeside hustle & bustle it’s a great place to return to and enjoy relaxing by the pool in the attractive gardens where you can take in stunning views over the bay of Salò.

The apartment, located on the first floor, offers a spacious open plan kitchen/dining/living room with a sloping beamed ceiling. The well equipped modern kitchen includes a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric cooker with gas hob and coffee machine. There is a dining table that comfortably seats up to 4 people. The living area comprises a large corner sofa, TV for use with the Bluray player or Firestick and a collection of books & Blurays/DVDs. There is dedicated wifi available providing internet access in the apartment. A firestick is provided allowing you to play content onto the TV from your own phone/tablet, satellite/terrestrial TV is not available. The apartment has a double bedroom, a bunk room (sleeps 2) and a very comfortable metal sprung double sofa bed in the living room which can sleep an additional 2 people. The modern bathroom offers a large shower and heated towel rail. The apartment also offers the added bonus of free onsite gated car parking (no electric car charger).

Please note, there is an additional charge of €75 for a final clean but there are no other additional charges or fees. Bedlinen & towels are included in the advertised price (beach/pool towels are not provided). An extra clean is available on request.

Tolles Appartement mit pool und einem atemberaubenden Ausblick. Die Anfahrt ist etwas herausfordernd, aber es lohnt sich.Das Appartement ist liebevoll eingerichtet und hat alles was man benötigt, sogar Gewürze sind vorhanden.Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub dort.

Un emplacement fantastique

L'appartement est très bien équipé et cosy. Les couchages sont très confortable, il ne manque absolument rien dans la cuisine pour vivre comme chez soi. La vue de la piscine est absolument fantastique. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Ein schöner, ein besonderer Ort

Ein wunderbarer Blick, ein Pool mit einer guten Größe und das Zirpen der Grillen machen den Pallazzo aus. Die teils alte Bausubstanz, die schöne Bepflanzung liefern das Flair. Die Wohnung passt gut für 4 Personen, hat alles was man braucht. Der Wohnraum hat eine gute Größe ohne dass man sich auf die Füße tritt. Wenn wir uns noch was wünschen dürften…wäre es ein Balkon.

Hier hat wirklich alles gepasst. Sauberkeit, Lage und Ausstattung. Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt ist, das es unter dem Dach schon sehr heiß in dem Apartment wird, wofür ja aber keiner etwas kann.

Wir kommen wieder

Wir waren als 4 köpfige Familie aus Frankfurt am Main im Sommerurlaub im Palazzo. Das Quartier war für uns 4 sehr passend und in Ordnung, die Aussicht vom Grundstück aus wunderbar, der Pool insbesondere für die Kinder perfekt. Wir Eltern haben es sehr genossen, dass die Temperatur oben in den Bergen immer 3-5 Grad kühler war als unten am See und wir nach einem trubeligen Ausflug an den See, nach Verona etc. abends wieder in die ruhige Umgebung des Palazzo zurückkehren konnten. Wir kommen gerne wieder! Ulrich u Familie

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung, vom Pool aus großartiger Ausblick auf den Gardasee.

Sehr schöne und geschmackvolle Ferienwohnung knapp 9km westlich von Salo´und gut 500 Höhenmeter über dem Gardasee. Sehr sauber, sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, wunderbar ruhig, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Die Wohnung hat ein großes Wohnzimmer mit integrierter Küchenzeile, ein kleines Schlaf- sowie ein kleines Kinderzimmer mit Etagenbett und ein sehr schönes Bad. Ein Balkon ist nicht vorhanden, aber der sehr schöne Gemeinschaftsgarten und Pool steht allen Gästen / Wohnungsinhabern (sehr nette italienische Nachbarn, wir waren die einzigen Deutschen) zur Verfügung. Ein Parkplatz für alle Bewohner liegt direkt am Haus, aus der kleinen Kapelle nebenan erklingt sonntags wunderschöner Gesang. Vielen Dank für den leckeren Prosecco zur Begrüßung, wir hatten zwei wunderbare Wochen und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Dear Joanne, we highly recommend your lovely appartment. Wunderschönes Ambiente

Jederzeit wieder!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, ungewöhnliche Location, liebevoll und gut eingerichtete Wohnung, alles das was man braucht zum wohlfühlen. Sehr wertschätzende und professionelle Betreuung durch die Vermieterin. Kleiner Malus: das Kinderzimmer mit Stockbett quietscht bei jeder Bewegung und ist etwas klein zumindest mit fast erwachsenen Kindern (man kann aber ausweichen ins Wohnzimmer) und ein kleiner Balkon wäre noch wundervoller - aber ein traumhafter Platz um auszuspannen, zu relaxen, und dennoch diese abwechslungsreiche Landschaft im südwestlichen Gardasee-Areal zu genießen. Wir kommen wieder mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit.

Lovely, relaxing location in a super apartment

A fabulous place to stay whilst visiting lake Garda. Location is peaceful and relaxing. Lovely pool and well equipped apartment with everything you would need to make your stay easy. Very helpful information given by Joanne prior to visit and we were made very welcome. Would definitely visit again.

What lovely accommodation, in such a beautiful setting with the most amazing views of Lake Garda and Salo - wow! A massive thank you to the owners for providing a clean and well-maintained apartment and good customer service. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. We really enjoyed our trips to the local towns, eating pizza and ice creams and swimming in the warm, crystal-clear waters of Lake Garda. I won't ever forget the wonderful views of the lake from the swimming pool and terrace - amazing (and very relaxing!)

This apartment was fabulous.

Apartment was well furnished , spotlessly clean and had every little convenience you could think of. The building itself was charming and the pool area lovely. The entire complex was extremely well maintained and secure. Property is remote and a car is necessary with driving up the hill not for the faint hearted but I promise you the location and views are so worth it. There is a good supermarket 10 minutes away in Villanouva sul Clisi. There is a lovely restaurant in Roe'Volciano called Ristorante Giro Pizza which I would recommend and Salo is a beautiful town on the lake packed with restaurants and shops. The walks along the lake are beautiful, especially at dusk and you could spend hours exploring all the little side streets. A fab place to holiday, will be back

Perfect place for a peaceful break

We spent a wonderful few days here in this apartment. The accommodation is spacious and very well furnished with everything one could possibly need for a relaxing enjoyable stay. The shared garden and pool area offer beautiful views over Salo and in the distance Sirmione. The 16th century building is such a change from modern concrete apartments so often on offer and added to the atmosphere. The apartment was large enough for 6 people with a comfortable sofa bed in the living room as well as two good sized bedrooms. It was perfect for couples as well as family groups or friends. There was ample secure parking (a car is a necessity). Salo itself is a lovely resort with a beautiful promenade and plenty of restaurants along the lakeside. We loved it and would definitely recommend a stay in this apartment.

Beautiful apartment in a lovely rural location

We were a family of five staying here for 9 nights, three adults and two boys under 10. The apartment was decorated to an exceptionally high standard, with all mod cons, and little extras provided such as tea and coffee, and prosecco! The apartment is on the first floor of a rather grand building with a number of other apartments, but was extremely quiet (apart from our kids in the pool!). WiFi, TV, Bluray and Chromecast are all provided which was fortuitous as we had a very rainy day. The pool is shared with the other apartments, and is a little cold but there is plenty of space around to relax and the view from the pool of Garda and the town of Salo is great. The apartment is located about 15 mins from Salo, up a very steep and windy path, for people wanting a bit of nightlife it might be a little far out, but we liked to get away from it all. Salo itself is a lovely town, we arrived during the Italian holiday season and so enjoyed live music along the harbour in our final weekend. Lots of great places to eat and drink. We were greeted on arrival by one of the owners of the other apartments in the complex who was really friendly and helpful. During our stay we travelled to Verona and Venice and then to the Le Vele Aquapark which the kids loved. We also spent a day in Sirmione which was lovely. I wouldn't hesitate recommending the apartment to anyone!

My husband and I and our 2 children have returned to the UK after living in the Piemonte region of Italy for 10 years.
After many holidays enjoying the food, wine & scenery in the Lake Garda area we fell in love with & purchased our apartment in ‘Il Palazzo’. We wanted a peaceful rural property but with easy access to the Lake and to all the facilities available in nearby Salò, this apartment fitted the bill perfectly.
We hope you will love the tranquil location & stunning views and also the proximity to Salò and other amenities in the area. The gardens and pool area are beautiful and perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views across the bay of Salò and beyond. We have not only renovated the apartment to make it a place we all love to visit but also one in which you will hopefully experience a fantastic holiday.
