Enjoy the luxury of this beautiful country house that comfortably sleeps large groups. Wander the gorgeous garden, or spend your time relaxing with a book in front of a roaring fire in one of the stylish reception rooms. Guests can also make the most of the summer sunshine with a dip in the large private pool, or merely lounge around its edge and enjoy the peace and tranquility that surrounds you as birds chirp in the trees.
Please note we have an over 30's policy, however children/families welcome.
The Whistler's Perch, in the village of Southend in Buckinghamshire is an enchanting place for large groups looking to make memories in a magical peaceful location surrounded by rolling countryside and an abundance of wildlife.
The stylish property has been beautifully designed and decorated to match its idyllic surroundings. Inside you’ll find seven spacious bedrooms and seven bathrooms arranged across two properties, the main house and the annexe. The bedrooms are furnished in a comfortably relaxed style with lots of light, space and warmly textured fabrics, you can’t fail to drift off to a peaceful night’s sleep in such a restful environment.
Meals can be prepared in the fully fitted kitchen which features an induction cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, coffee machine and toaster. There is also a separate utility area, great for your muddy boots and pets.
For a special occasion have the option to hire a private caterer to create for those special dinners which can be enjoyed in the open plan dining room.
On rainy days, guests can relax in the magical orangery or either of the four living areas. The main living area is a cosy lounge with wonderfully comfortable armchairs and sofas positioned perfectly in front of the wood burner.
For fun for all the family there is a games room which has a pool table, table tennis and football table. And if that isn’t enough to keep you entertained if you fancy some fitness you will be spoilt for choice with equipment in the home gym.
The house is a perfect spot to relax in the sun, have a dip in the pool and enjoy a BBQ as the sun sets. As the garden is fenced, it’s ideal to let your furry friend run free.
Dogs are very welcome to join you during your stay; however, please note that they must not be left unattended at the property at any time.
If you are up for exploring you’ll be spoilt for choice for walks and cycle routes in the Chiltern hills and charming nearby villages. There is a fantastic biker's cafe within close walking distance of the property that is a great pit stop for walkers, they serve hot food, cakes and drinks.
Please note pool towels are not provided.
- No parties or events
- No visitors (please note charges will apply)
- No smoking inside the property or in it's grounds
- We only accept two small well behaved dogs
- Dogs are subject to a £50 per pet per stay dog fee, this must be paid before arrival
- Please pick up all dog mess from the garden
- Please no dogs in the annexe
- During winter please keep the dogs in the hard flooring areas only
- Gym equipment must be turned off after use
- Please do not move any furniture, gym equipment or games in the games room to include the pool table.
- Please ensure the pool cover is put back on after use
- The pool is only heated from April to September, outside of these months the pool is out of use.
- Please adhere to the pool rules and gym rules which are left in each property
- The swimming pool is used at the guests own risk
- The gardeners will attend every Monday and the pool maintenance team will attend every Tuesday. Please let us know if you do not wish for them to visit during your stay.
- No charging of electric cars at the property
- Pool towels are not provided so guests will need to bring their own pool towels
- Charcoal and gas for the BBQ is not provided
- Please close all windows (and velux windows), turn off the lights and turn off the heating upon leaving the property.
- We have a ring camera facing onto the driveway/parking area
- All guests must be over the age of 30 for group bookings however children/families welcome.
- Firepit and BBQ must be cleaned after use
- Please ensure the covers are put back on the garden furniture
- Please do not adjust the swimming pool boiler temperature
- The pool is only available during the day from 8am to 9pm to respect our neighbours.
- Please do not stick anything on the walls or doors as it will take the paint off
- No candles please as this is against the regulations for holiday lets
