Situated in the picturesque Wensleydale village of Redmire, Penhill is a stone built semi-detached, dog friendly property that boasts far reaching views towards Penhill. The surrounding area is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and those of an energetic nature who enjoy walking or cycling straight from the doorstep. Equally, this hideaway is a great choice for friends or family seeking tranquillity and relaxation in the North Yorkshire Dales with the added benefit of being 2 minutes from the local pub.
This delightful property provides comfortable accommodation for five guests. The living area comprises of a sitting room with a multi-fuel stove to ensure warm and cosy evenings whatever season you stay, and a dining table with seating for five guests, and a well-equipped kitchen perfect for preparing a home cooked meal. French doors lead out to the rear patio and garden so why not dine al fresco on warmer days. On the first floor, three bedrooms are presented (a king size with rural views, a twin, and a king size zip-and-link bed which can be converted into a 5' king-size upon request).
There is a parking area to the rear of the cottage, an enclosed garden laid to lawn and a patio area which is perfect for sharing drinks together as the sun goes down. A short drive or bike ride takes you to the popular market town of Leyburn where you can enjoy a bite to eat or a pub lunch; we recommend The Sandpiper for something a little special! A local bus route also runs through Redmire should you wish to take full advantage of the Dales bus service. From here you can leave your car behind, and not worry about parking in the busy sought after villages close by. Be sure to also explore Hawes, home to the Wensleydale Creamery. If you children, or even if not, discover The forbidden Corner Coverdale - a fantastic place for a day out filled with fantasy in the great outdoors. For those interested in local history, Castle Bolton is just a stone's throw away.
