I was born in Wensleydale and my ancestors have been living here for several generations. I am mother of three boys and one girl. It is wonderful that my husband and I have been able to bring our children up in such an unspoilt place. We would love to share this special place and give you a base to explore. We have experienced the beauty of the dales by walking, riding, fishing and canoeing.

Why they chose this property

The Bothy has its own entrance from the woodland garden. The Bothy forms the end of a converted set of traditional buildings .It is on a farm that is now our family home. This is a very traditional hill farm. Virtually unmechanised with its wildflower meadows intact. We have pedigree Jacob sheep and Dexters . Visitors can order meat from the farm if wanted. The farm has 40 acres with wonderful views of the hills, moors and River Ure.

Its unspoilt setting is a wildlife haven. A great to place to unwind away from the busyness of life.

Despite being deep in the countryside, it is very easy to access by car with the A684 nearby. It also has good wifi due to a recent upgrade which is an extra benefit as some Dales properties don't.

A timeless place where every season has a beauty of its own.

What makes this property unique

People staying in the Bothy have many opportunities to relax and unwind in the comfortable surroundings. Having the best of traditional luxuries and modern conveniences.

There are numerous things to do in the area. Including visits to traditional villages, buzzing market towns, golf courses and local attractions. Explore the stunning dales by foot, wheel, horse or bike. Excellent fishing is available in river behind.

Wensleydale has delcious food available; whether gourmet or fantastic pub meals.

Our hope is that you will leave, agreeing with all previous guests that a few very special days are had at the Bothy.
