Rose Cottage is a 150 year old Grade II listed property, located within the Durham City conservation area. It is ideally situated for guests to enjoy the many attractions of this historic city, including the Unesco World Heritage site of Durham Cathedral and Castle, Durham University Museums and Gardens, riverside walks and an abundance of eateries.
Rose cottage offers guests stylish accommodation over two floors, comprising of one large bedroom with original fireplace and dedicated workspace, plus a compact, full bathroom on the first floor. There is a comfortable lounge with dining area and a well equipped, fitted kitchen on the ground floor. The property features quality furnishings throughout, a small furnished courtyard and complimentary guest parking.

Rose Cottage is a genuine piece of Durham's fascinating history. Originally a church owned property, the cottage has stood for over 150 years, overlooking what was locally known as The Duckpond (now an attractive grassed area named Gilesgate Green), in the parish of Elvet and Gilesgate.
The property features in numerous photography books depicting life in 'Old Durham', one of which is available in Rose Cottage for guests to browse.
