After studying psychology in Leicester, I pursued a career as a clinical psychologist at the University of Oslo. My husband is a native Norwegian who practices law and we have three children — two of whom now live in England. As a family, we’ve always had a passion for the outdoors and especially for travel.
It was during a memorable sailing holiday in Croatia that we fell in love with this stunning country. The enchanting village of Pučišća captured our hearts, and we knew it was the perfect place to build our dream holiday home. Our Journey to Creating Two Perfect Villa Retreats
In 2012, we embarked on a sailing trip along Croatia’s breathtaking Dalmatian coast and spent a week exploring the island of Brač. It didn’t take long for us to fall in love — with the island’s natural beauty, its warm and welcoming people, the laid-back lifestyle, and of course, the incredible food. We knew this was the perfect place for a family vacation home.
After exploring several potential locations, we were introduced to two stunning villa plots. Even though we first saw them in the heart of winter, the spectacular views and the charm of the nearby village left us speechless — we knew these were the ones. And so, our journey began.
After many deliberations we chose the plot for The White House and decided to build spacious enough to host our extended family, whilst also renting it out when we weren’t there ourselves. Since then, we’ve enjoyed countless unforgettable holidays with grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends — sharing laughter, meals, and memories in our cherished home. When the second plot became available again we decided to repeat out success and so built The Glass House.
Looking back, these were one of the best decisions we’ve ever made — choices that continue to bring us joy and allow us to share this wonderful island with others.
