Our ground floor apartment Valerian, is part of the west facing Sunset Cottages barn conversion at Manor Farm. Nestling in the heart of the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, only 9 miles from Castle Howard and 25 minutes from York. Enjoy stunning views across open countryside, and rolling hills with fields of sheep, horses, woodland, bird life and truly memorable sunsets. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway, in a property cared for by the owners family, Valerian is perfect for two. Red Valerian grows just outside around the low walls of the car park. It has several common names including ‘Kiss Me Quick’.

Rooms are well heated via our central biomass boiler. WiFi throughout. There is ample private parking with easy access. The separate laundry room onsite has washing machines, and tumble dryer, and the Reception room has lots of additional local information, tourism leaflets, and maps to borrow. Bikes may be stored under cover.
The adjacent farmhouse garden has been created with a life time of love, and is unique in its design, with plenty of seating and secluded areas. Our guests are welcome to sit a while or wander. We will meet you during your stay, and for those guests interested in farming activities we can do accompanied tours by arrangement.
