The Millhouse Cazorla
The Millhouse Cazorla is a nine-bedroom, nine-bathroom prestigious millhouse close to the Andalusian town of Cazorla with mountain and castle views and an outdoor swimming pool.
As soon as you approach the lavish entrance of this stunning Spanish villa, you'll feel like you've stepped into something truly special. The property is steeped in the mountainside and set amongst luscious greenery, adding natural colours to the immaculate grounds, which are dotted with whites, creams and terracottas. The villa sits against the bright blue sky, making The Millhouse Cazorla a Mediterranean oasis where guests can truly sit back and relax in style. Being a restored former working mill, The Millhouse Cazorla maintains the aceducts and waterways used to power the mill in the past, bringing the property to life with the sound if flowing water.
Spanish charm continues inside the house, which boasts wooden beams and rustic elements and is filled with natural light. Crisps white walls and tiled flooring run through the property, giving an earthy feel. Treading across the stone floor into the living room, guests will feel like they are truly on holiday as the Spanish breeze runs through the house. The large kitchen is fully-equipped, combining a modern and rustic aesthetic with white tiles, stone counters, and terracotta floors. You'll see that the owners have designed the interior of the house around natural features and decor in keeping with traditional Spanish architecture, making it a beautiful space to relax and prepare delicious dishes from local ingredients. A pleasant indoor dining area seats ten, or maybe more if you eat Mediterranean style and sit close!
The Millhouse Cazorla comfortably sleeps up to eighteen guests, offering a range of queen-size beds and bunk beds, and four of the rooms have their own private balcony. The rooms have been tastefully decorated to reflect the elements of the surrounding nature, utilising natural fabrics and furnishings.
The outdoor area is always a hit with guests, and the pool is undoubtedly a highlight of the property. Sun worshippers will be in their element by the pool, and it's easy to see why guests spend hours here topping up their tans. You'll be surrounded by Spanish flora and the natural landscape (including a magnificent view of the 14th century Castle of Cazorla, Castillo de la Yedra) so your time outdoors is guaranteed to be peaceful and rejuvenating.
If you're in the mood to cook outdoors, then the terrace boasts a barbecue plus an outdoor lounging and dining area. The space is perfect for some outdoor entertaining and was built with those long summer evenings in mind.

Location:
Cazorla is a dream mountain getaway. This charming town brims with traditional local architecture, steep streets, charming grand houses, and historical monuments. The beautiful surrounding landscape of olive trees makes it one of the leading producers of olive oil in the region, and the fruit appears in many of its spectacular dishes, which visitors love to devour.
Yedra Castle is the focal point of the town centre, and it's also home to the Upper Guadalquivir Popular Arts and Traditions Museum. True to its historical significance, The town hall is located in a Renaissance-style building called 'Padres Mercedarios', a convent dating from the 1500s and is one of many buildings that makes up the historic aesthetic of the town. Another former convent, San Juan de la Penitenciaria, is now a youth hostel and boasts the same architectural style. The town boasts a number of public and historic spaces such as Las Cadenas and La Vicaria palaces, Plaza de Santa Maria and the churches of San Jose, San Francisco and El Carmen, which visitors should make a priority to visit.
If you happen to visit Cazorla in July, you must check out the Blues Cazorla festival that is held in the town every year. This three-day festival is packed full of Blues musicians and can't be missed if you're near the area. The town is packed with visitors and music lovers, enjoying the various stages and acts, of which over 60% are free to enter!
Another reason visitors from all over the world are drawn here is its location in the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Nature Reserve, a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Visitors can explore the park using several routes, the most popular of which are on foot, on bicycle or in 4x4 vehicles.
Just over an hour's drive away is Jaen, a place of cultural and historical importance for Spain. Its natural landscapes house significant architecture and monuments in its villages and cities and keep its rich history alive. There are several suggested itineraries for exploring, and a popular one is the Renaissance Route which covers the towns of Úbeda and Baeza in the La Loma area. Because of their important Renaissance legacy, both cities have been declared historical and artistic sites. An Arab fortress that stands atop the Santa Catalina ridge dominates the oldest part of Jaen and gives some of the best views of the city and the Guadalquivir valley. There's also Santa Catalina castle which is home to an interesting Visitor Centre with information about its history.
