Town: The rural village of Longhope is nestled in the west of Gloucestershire, right in the heart of the Forest of Dean, lying between the Severn and the Wye. The quaint village is home to a local store, Post Office, The Farmer's Boy Inn pub and restaurant, a café, bakery, a church, as well as a local football club; The Old Dairy Tearoom and Leaf Ceative garden center also nearby. Longhope is tucked away in between the village of Mitcheldean and Lea village, two equally charming destinations offering a wider variety of shops, pubs, restaurants, parks, takeaways, and B&Bs. The Forest of Dean is an ancient forest with aspects of medieval culture, steeped in history, acting as a royal hunting forest, navy timber source and coal mining industry, and is now home to unique wildlife, walking trails and adventurous activities. The cathedral city of Gloucester is easily accessible, boasting vibrant amenities for an exciting day out, whereas the Wye Valley AONB lies on the opposite side of Longhope, home to serene landscapes, nature and countryside air. Longhope acts as a tranquil getaway location deep within a charming corner of Gloucestershire.
