For those looking for a holiday rental in exclusive Kensington, look no further than this two-bedroom and two-bathroom apartment on the first floor of a period building (no lift) overlooking Cornwall Gardens garden square, with an open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area and a sunny terrace at front of the building. A non-smoking property. WIFI is available.
An elegant residential area of period terraces and garden squares. A few minutes walk south of Hyde Park - a great green space perfect for a breath of fresh air. In the same direction are the many attractions of the Kensington High Street and Church Street area. A 10-minute walk takes you south to the Victoria & Albert, the Natural History and Science Museums, and beyond them to the fashionista and gourmet paradise of Harrods and the exclusive shops, boutiques, and restaurants of Knightsbridge. Buses and taxis are plentiful for access to the West End or further afield; also for Heathrow.
Decoration: Classic English style in muted colours with bright touches.
Reception: The bright living room, with its tall windows and bird’s eye view of the garden square, is elegantly furnished with some choice furniture, two comfortable sofas beside the classic fireplace, and excellent lighting. The dining table by the window can seat six comfortably.
Kitchen: The smart galley kitchen includes all the usual essentials: a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a washer/dryer.
Bedrooms: The master bedroom is very spacious and light, with a peaceful haven at the back of the building with a king bed (150x200cm) cupboard space, and en-suite facilities. Bedroom two is smaller with a Double bed ( 135x190)and good storage space.
Bathrooms: The master bathroom is nicely tiled with a bath, hand-held and attached shower unit over the bath, large wall mirror, wash basin, and loo. The second bathroom has a shower cubicle, heated towel rail, wash basin, and loo.
Getting around: Gloucester Road, 5 minutes walk (Circle, District, and Piccadilly lines), and South Kensington, 10 minutes (Circle, District, and Piccadilly lines).
