Catcune Family Suite is a part of Harvieston Hall - 17th Century mansion house and is perfect for country retreats, family gatherings or just as luxury accommodation in close proximity to Edinburgh. Catcune Family Suite can accommodate up to 6 people in 4 lavish bedrooms with 3 bathrooms and kitchen / living space. Edinburgh city centre is just 30 minutes away.

NOTE: the flat is located on the 2nd floor with a narrow spiral stairs and an entrance from the back of the building.

very very dated

We had very good communication with host and they were very glad to change booking etc. But the property itself was very dirty and very very dated! Tv did not work rooms were not very clean needs a very very deep clean refurb But did what it needed to do for us. Easy to get into Edinburgh and gorbridge itself its very cute and clean.

Short stay

The property is advertised as luxury apartment. It is not luxury. It was a bit dated and run down, however the beds were clean and comfortable and the property was well equiped. The location was excellent

Extremely Disappointing Experience

We had a truly unpleasant experience and would strongly caution others against booking this property. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the property was not as advertised. The place was in poor condition and far from clean – the floors were sticky, the furniture was stained, and there was an unpleasant odor throughout the house. When we brought our concerns to the property owner, we were met with complete dismissal. Instead of addressing the issues or offering solutions, the owner was dismissive and unhelpful. The lack of professionalism and unwillingness to take responsibility made an already frustrating situation worse.We felt so uncomfortable that we chose to leave immediately, forfeiting our money, and booked a hotel instead. It was a costly and stressful decision, but we couldn’t imagine spending even one night in such a neglected property.Overall, this was a terrible experience from start to finish. The property is poorly maintained, the cleanliness is unacceptable, and the owner’s attitude is appalling. Save yourself the headache and avoid this property at all costs. Would not recommend to anyone.

Very Very humble, lots of space. We had flat 10 so it was expected that we would have space and it would be quirky only problem was no wifi and not easy to get an Uber, we took the bus and rode the trains.

Aussen Hui, Innen Pfui

Die Idee, ein kleines Schloss in Ferienwohnungen umzugestalten ist schön und war auch teilweise sehr gut ausgeführt, leider war es nicht sauber, die Sofas löchrig, die Schranktüren hängend, keine Töpfe, die Betten quietschen, alles leider sehr vernachlässigt und die Treppe ist echt gefährlich.
