Charming apartment with a terrace in a historic Venetian building in the San Marco area.



The apartment is located on the third floor in a building without an elevator. It consists of a large open space with a balcony, furnished with a sofa, dining table, and television; a kitchen equipped with dishwasher, oven, and microwave; two bedrooms both with double bed and wardrobe; two bathrooms with shower and finally a large terrace equipped with chairs and table. In the house, there is a sofa bed.



*Guests can access the accommodation via a numeric code, which they can obtain only after completing the online registration of their IDs, signing the digital rent agreement, and paying the tourist tax via a payment link they will receive a few days before arrival. The code will be active starting from 3 p.m.



Known worldwide as the city built on water, given its construction on 100 islands in the lagoon, Venice is one of Italy's most popular locations worldwide.

It is a real open-air museum, thanks to its historical and artistic heritage made of churches, palaces, and museums.

Strolling through Venice is like diving in the past: the so-called calli (streets) are dotted and framed by aristocratic buildings such as the Doge's Palace, the historic home of the Doges, spectacular bridges including the famous Rio Alto Bridge, and canals navigable by gondolas, waterbuses, and boats of all kinds.

The heart of the city is the enchanting St. Mark's Square, which houses the Basilica of the same name and welcomes thousands of tourists worldwide every day.

The most famous local event is the Carnival, thanks to its centuries-old tradition of masks and costumes that enliven the streets every year.

Last but not least, the famous "Bàcaro Tour" is a must: a tour among taverns to taste local wine along with cicheti, typical Venetian tasty bites.



The lodging is a half-hour walk from Santa Lucia train station and less than 50 minutes by transport from Venice Marco Polo airport.

Great location

We enjoyed staying here!! Great location and very clean place!! We love the balcony over looking at the small narrow walking streets. Make sure you follow the directions the owner give you bc that will make your life easier, we follow our gps at first and we got lost, his map is the way to go!! Enjoy your stay here!!

Lack of communication after payment with code to get into apt

Great place and great location. Be prepared for 57 steps with luggage but very nice place but no coffe pot but coffe places very close by

Great location. No kitchen towels, no sponges, no dish soap, no screens (mosquitoes!), no air conditioning, not enough wine glasses or glasses. No paper towels or napkins

The Rialto Hustle!

Steps away from the Rialto Bridge, you are in the heart of the hustle and bustle! Set on a quite street, this home offers a ton of space, comfortable rooms and two full baths. Convenient to transportation, shopping and bar and restaurant life. There are 4 stairwells to climb before accessing the rental, make sure you are ready for the hike with your luggage! The AC worked, but did not do much to break up the August heat of Venice.

Great property, intimidating entrance

We were impressed with the accommodations, but it wasn't easy to find or access. The door is down a narrow, spooky alley that does not show up on Google maps. The building number is damaged and so we had to guess that we were at the correct unit. Also the "1st floor" is 3 full flights of stairs up--no elevayor. That said, the property is in GREAT location, spotless inside, and the staff were responsive. Overall, a good stay!

No amenities

We had difficulty checking in, passwords were sent to email that could not be accessed at the time. There were no comforts of home such as a coffee maker, not even salt and pepper in the kitchen. We ran out of toilet paper, and not enough towels for 4 people.

Unacceptable

Air conditioning did not work! We were literally dripping with sweat! No kitchen sponge, Dawn dish liquid, dish towel, paper towels, horrible pots and pans, blow dryer broken, dish washer ran but didn't clean....We could go on and on. We were told these were not included in the amenities. Well after two fabulous VRBO stays in Rome and Florence which did not list these incidentals as "amenities", we were extremely disappointed. and NO LIFT, so you will die bringing your luggage up!!! Very nicely located in Rialto, but we dreaded returning every night!! Couldn't open windows due to mosquitos! Wish we could say better as Venice is a must see!

Apt located in 3 foot wide dark alley

The apt itself was not the problem... the problem was the location, while in the middle of everything it was impossible to find as it was located down a dark alley that was about 3 feet wide only on person could fit at a time. We had 7 pieces of luggage b/w 4 adults & the 1st floor apt was actually 3 flights up narrow stairs (no elevator, not uncommon but wish they would have told us about the 3 flights... very tough to navigate with luggage... but we were in Italy for a month & Venice was our next to the last stop) After booking our stay about 2 months in advance the host was in constant contact which was amazing... but that all changed the day we arrived, radio silence. We tried to contact them when we couldn't find the apt as who would have guessed it would be in a dark alley that looked like a place where shops deposited their trash. Any way much longer story short. Venice was amazing & even though we dreaded having to go back to the apt every evening, we did have a spectacular time... & like i said the apt was not the problem it was actually nice.

The apartment has not been updated The bathrooms are poor and smelled of urine The dressers and cabinets in bedrooms are broken The kitchen is old and no appliances that were necessary in a vacation home No microwave, no coffee maker, working cork screw and limited kitchen dishes no wine glasses or serving bowels or plates The refrigerator is old and small when you open door the entire fridge moved with you The air conditioners were not adequate for the apartment couldn't close bedroom doors because the air wouldn't be able to get in The rental agency is not flexible or personal Only one email was sent to arrange check in The contact phone and email is useless on the weekends and meeting place was vague and the busiest place (Rialto bridge)and who we were to meet not told until we asked what to look for after they contacted us at 5:45pm Check in was apparently after 5:30pm NOT 4pm like all our information said Location was by the Rialto bridge not by St Marks Square Obviously we were not happy

Dear Arlen, I am sorry to hear all this comments after you left, usually all the things you said were missing are well provided in the apartment, so if you had told us during your stay we would have provided as soon as possibile to change them or bring new ones. The apartment is exaclty as showed in the pictures by the way, and about check in and contacts well, check in was from 4pm on , this meant you had to take an appointment. We have also sent you many emails that you have not read probably to ask you about your arrival time so that we could have organize a smooth check in

Bathroom not clean ; dishwasher on ; power outage

We arrived at property as soon as cleaners left. The dishwasher was still on. No one meets you or checks you in; no info regarding possible power outages. Noticed shower not clean and let them know; they offered to send people but we had unpacked and I was already cleaning it bc needed to shower. We turned on AC. When we returned all power out. It was just past 6pm and they have no one to contact. We had no idea what to do. After 1 hour searching for fuse box we find a paper saying what to do but not where the box in house located. After another 30 min found it in corner of a bedroom. I asked for a 1 night refund. They gave me 67euro fee back but that outages were common and company policy was supported them. Ok but why not have a better communication system to explain this to consumers ? Why not have the paper visible on what to do and better details on where to find fuse boxes? Not best practice in my opinion.

Fell short of expectations

On the positive side the apartment was clean, bright, quiet, spacious, & in a GREAT location! Booking & payment was easy. On the negative side it was difficult to find. The "address" we had was the district and not the apartment number. Make sure you have access to your email with Google map access. I called the rental company several times (7pm) and used our messaging string to notify that we could NOT FIND the apartment. They responded 15 hrs later. I never knew the name of the person who I was in contact with. We finally found the place by trialing the access codes on doors. There is no lift so there is quite a lot of stairs to climb, typical for Europe. One of the bedrooms was missing a painting over the headboard, a lamp shade was bent forward, the headboard material is flaking off, and the tri-fold glass on the bathtub shower let water leak onto the floor causing us to use our towels to mop it up. Kitchen - no coffee pot/espresso machine, no dish soap (we used a bar of bath soap on the kitchen sponge, no wine glasses, no laundry soap. Granted, these things are not listed in the amenities but it seems that having an espresso/coffee machine, wine glasses, dish soap and a couple pods of laundry soap would be appropriate. There was an electric kettle that I reported did not work and the company stated it's not included and someone must have left it there. I did notify the company (again, I never had a name)on arrival that the lamp was bent and the painting was missing in the bedroom but they did not respond to that. The pillows were flat and hard and we used our down coats to stuff inside the cases to make them softer. For all of theses reasons I regretfully provided my score.

Not as expected

The pictures do not reflect the accommodation, especially the inner courtyard where the furniture was completely different (cheaper) and there was no overhead canopy. The front room had none of the vibrant furnishings shown on the photos. Also, the kitchen equipment was very basic. No kettle, so hot water was from the microwave. There were other issues which we will take up with Vrbo directly.

Gute Lage, schlechte Ausstattung

Wer gerne im Zentrum des Geschehens wohnt ist hier richtig. Aufgrund anderer Bewertungen haben wir eine in die Jahre gekommene Ausstattung erwartet, allerdings waren wir doch von den ruinierten Betten schockiert. Es gibt keine Möglichkeit Kaffee zuzubereiten, dafür sind 6 große und 6 Espressotassen vorhanden. Der nähere Zusammenhang muss sich einem nicht erschließen. Obwohl es wirklich sauber war, werden wir beim nächsten Mal sicher eine andere Unterkunft buchen.

Authentic Venice Experience

Tucked into a small, quiet sidestreet just seconds from an amazing mix of high end brand-name shopping and locally-owned businesses. The apartment was quiet and cozy. Instructions from owner on how to get there originate from Santa Lucia area. We learned we could take the Orange line vaporretto from the airport to the Rialto stop. Then follow directions from Rialto. Overall a fun experience and a great location for Venice adventures. Truly an amazing city experience.

A short walk to Rialto Bridge

We had a couple days in Venice and the apartment was perfect for seeing the sights. Close to San Marco square and a few minutes from the famous Rialto bridge. The apartment is spacious with a big living room, kitchen, and bedrooms. The host was easy to reach via email and WhatsApp. The provided directions to the apartment were accurate and made it easy to find. We really enjoyed our stay!

Good location but apartment was only okay

They said they had a washer but I never found it. The bathtub in one of the bathrooms had a damaged door so it was very difficult taking a shower there.
