Welcome to The Sandpiper - lovingly refurbished by the new owners ready for guests in 2024 is this beautiful large and spacious 2 bedroom cottage which sleeps 5. Originally designed as a 3 bedroom cottage the previous owners maximised the family space in this lovely cottage and never rented this property out.

The Sandpiper is located in a quiet area of The Bay which is really near the beach path, Cleveland Way and the village pub / pool. This is one of the largest 2 bedroom properties on The Bay and offers luxury spacious accommodation.

Enter through the step free doorway into a generously proportioned hallway with cloakroom. Walk into the 'L' shaped open plan living, dining and kitchen area with sofas for 6 and SMART TV with stunning bi-fold doors across the rear of the property to a private furnished patio, ideal for outside relaxing with seating for 6 with lawned area In the dining area there is a dining table for 6 which leads into a modern fully equipped kitchen including a 2 fridge freezers, dishwasher, washer-dryer, 2 microwaves as well as an electric food steamer, slow cooker and Tassimo Coffee Machine (bring your own pods).

Upstairs the master bedroom includes a king-size bed, SMART TV and luxury En-suite with rainfall shower. The second family bedroom features a double bed with single bunk above and SMART TV. There is also a large family bathroom with bath and overhead rainfall shower.

This property is part of The Bay Holiday Village and all bookings gain direct beach access, unlimited use of The Bay Filey Indoor Pool, Baby Pool, Sauna, Steam Room and Gym. Some amenities are chargeable locally like food and drink, tennis and any activities operated by Away Resorts such as Archery and Crafts.

Excellent

We had another absolutely wonderful stay at this weekend holiday home and can’t recommend it highly enough. This was our second visit and it was just as fantastic as the first. The house was spotless, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable break. The location is perfect for a peaceful getaway, and the attention to detail throughout the property really makes it feel like a home away from home. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and the whole place had such a welcoming atmosphere. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already hoping to return again in the future. Thank you for another brilliant weekend!

The Sandpiper is a superbly equipped property with everything needed to make your stay perfect.

The property is equipped with everything needed to ensure your holiday is as perfect as possible ,everything in the property is virtually brand new , the bedrooms are comfortable and spacious and both are ensuite, a comfortable lounge with large TV which both my wife and myself being old technophobe had difficulty in operating , perhaps a simplified instruction would help us old dears cope with modern televisions . In all qe had a very enjoyable stay which we hope to repeat very soon.

Great property. Excellent location

The sandpiper is ideally located on the bay. It is close to the centre, the pub and shop, and also only a short walk to the beach path. The property itself is immaculate. I would highly recommend this gem!

Christmas Stay

This was our second time at The Sandpiper. We have visited The Bay on many occasions and stayed in all types of property. I can say, without doubt, that this is the best 2 bedroom cottage we have ever used, and it must be one of the best in the entire village. So spacious, comfortable, clean and with everything you need for a complete self catering stay. Both large bedrooms are ensuite and there is a downstairs loo aswell. The position in the resort is excellent, being close to the beach path and the pub and leisure centre. The home was decorated for Christmas and the bubbly and chocolate biscuits were much appreciated. Anchor Bay Holidays look after you from booking to leaving and Anthony and the team are always on hand should there be any problems. I totally recommend both this property and the company. We will definitely be back.

Pre-Easter stay at the Sandpiper

We had a great stay at the Sandpiper just before Easter. Everything was as seen in the pictures and the emails with all the info we needed were excellent. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Sandpiper - Aug 2025

A lovely cottage, seems fairly newly renovated. Has everything you could need in terms of kitchen crockery and cutlery, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, dishcloths, tea towels etc. I'd probably book a no-pets property next time as it did smell of dog (I thought with it being so newly refurbished it would be ok so that's my bad). Pillows were a little large and firm and duvet too thick for summer, but otherwise everything was great.

Lovely cottage, highly recommended

What a beautiful luxurious cottage!

Renovated to the highest of standards with lovely decor. The cottage is extremely clean and very well equipped with lovely extra touches. Outstanding accomodation

Stayed for 3 nights 3-6/1/24, Terraced Cottage/house immaculate throughout - looked like a show home and had everything you needed and more for a self catering holiday. Good location on the Bay for the activites and the beach. Good location for days out along the Yorkshire coast. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Thank you

Amazing!

Just come back from a short stay at the Sandpiper. 1st class customer service from booking until now. Would highly recommend for the customer service alone! However, the property was stunning, perfect location for all amenities and every little need thought of and catered to. Wonderful stay, have already recommended and cannot wait to return. A gem of a place

By far one of the nicest ,if not the best cottage we have stayed in at The Bay Resort, The cottage is very spacious ,with the most perfect design ,layout and choice of decor. A lot of thought has been put into the contents ,from kitchen crockery & utensils to individual room furnishings,with additional extras to ensure a home from home experience. Both bedrooms have their own en-suite which was a plus, and my grandchildren loved the adult sized bunk bed.All the beds were so comfy. The location is perfect for access to resort facilities and the path to the lovely beach. Thankyou Anthony at ABH for your efficient booking system and communication, ensuring we had another nice vacation

Home from home at the lovely Sandpiper

The Sandpiper is a beautiful house that gave us a great base for our weekend break. The Sandpiper is tastefully decorated throughout and also very practical. We especially loved the big, comfortable lounge area with bifolding doors into the garden. The beds were very comfortable and it was good to have a fan as it was very warm. We loved having 3 bathrooms! The addition of a games cupboard and a treasure trove of outdoor things in the storage box was great! The kitchen was very well equipped and organised. We were very well placed on site for the beach path and the main entertainment area including archery and the pub.

A beautiful holiday home from home

Communication during the booking process, in the run up to the holiday, during and after was superb! Information provided was relevant, extremely helpful and very clear. When we arrived at the house, instructions had been provided and we entered into a beautiful, stunning home. It has been decorated sympathetically and felt quite luxurious. The kitchen was superbly equipped with everything you could ask for, right down to the cupcake tin, I was tempted to knock up a batch of Yorkshire's which I’ve not been able to think about in other homes. I loved that I could also do a couple of washes prior to coming home (hike we were out exploring) meaning minimal washing for when we arrived home. The living area was comfortable and spacious with plenty of seating and a lovely seating area outside which when the sun did come out, we were able to sit outside with a glass of wine one of the afternoons we were there. The bedrooms were again very spacious and the beds were comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space and drawers and my 13yr old daughter loved that she had her own bathroom. The home is situated close to the beach walk and also to the site amenities. There is no allocated parking space but next to the neighbours house is a bay with approximately 5 spaces, we never had any issues parking close by. If I have to mention any negatives (and to be fair I feel I should) the cleaning wasn’t quite as good as I’ve seen in other homes. The bathroom to the main bedroom had splattered toothpaste/soap on the mirrors and walls, the dining place mats had sticky food still on them and the kitchen sides needed an extra clean when we arrived, it just felt a little ‘rushed’ perhaps and I did clean all of these down when we arrived, HOWEVER these were easily remedied, we would absolutely recommend this holiday home and we will certainly consider coming back to this house if we return to The Bay. I loved this home, loved the communication and it made our holiday.
