Balcony is super right on sea front. Sun all day until about 7 30pm. Just lac.ked a microwave.

Great place

Lovely clean apartment . Not for people who struggle with stairs as no lift . No parking , but managed to park for free 2 streets away . Best views to look out at any time of the day . Beds were comfortable, and bedding nice . Would definitely return .

Lovely apartment with a few niggles

Stunning views from the two balconies and on first impressions everything looked perfect. However we found the 2 sofas not very comfortable and although there were 2 bathrooms the sinks were too small to use properly without lots of splashes.Although the apartment was generally very clean the freezer needed defrosting and the oven was dirty.We had to collect the key from Henry Adams offices car park which we found inconvenient as we had arrived by train and had luggage . They did agree to us leaving the keys at the end of the stay on the dining room table which helped.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the stunning views from the balconies and found the property to be very clean on arrival. However, we would like to address a few points for clarity. The key collection point at the Henry Adams office is approximately a 10-minute walk from the train station, and the property itself is also around 10 minutes from the station—making the total journey quite reasonable. That said, we appreciated your situation and were happy to adjust our usual check-out process (which requires keys to be returned to our office) and allowed you to leave them on the dining table for your convenience. With regard to the bathroom sinks, these are of a standard size and we’ve never received similar feedback from other guests. Similarly, your rating of 3 stars for cleanliness seems inconsistent with your positive comments about the overall cleanliness of the property. We always welcome constructive feedback, but we also feel it’s important to provide accurate context for future guests. We hope to welcome you back again under different circumstances.

Nice Place/ Location but no lift!

Accommodation was fine, clean and had hardly any issues. But just a few comments. We are both in our mid 70's and my wife having had recent back surgery had a lot of difficulty climbing and descending 4 flights of very narrow stairs. Even I had trouble with them and I do not have big feet but I had to go down sideways. I am surprised they meet building standards. Could definitely do with a printed welcome pack in the room to get guests started with the amenities, there were no instructions for anything. No Microwave in the kitchen? Freezer door was not sealing properly and kept the door from closing all the way which caused ice build up.

West Lodge - The amazing sight and sound of the sea

West Lodge is a beautiful and stylish apartment with everything you need for a short or longer term stay. It is perfectly located within walking distance of the town centre and the numerous shops, bars and restaurants. As wonderful as the apartment itself is, it's the stunning views from the lounge, balconies and both bedrooms of the sea and beach literally just across the road. Listening to the sound of the sea from both indoors and outdoors is amazing, very relaxing and therapeutic. A walk of just under a mile along the promenade takes you to Felpham where you can enjoy a coffee, breakfast or lunch right by the beach and Chichester is a very quick and easy 15 minutes in the car although public transport and taxis are readily available. We absolutely loved West Lodge - key collection and return was easy, we were provided with a very handy guest guide and it was comforting to know the owners were easily contactable and available if required. We will definitely be back soon, West Lodge was the perfect place to base ourselves as we continue to explore the area with a view to relocating and as a homeworker, I can very easily see myself working from the table and facing that wonderful view - although I'm not quite sure how much work would actually get done !

Could be good with a bit of TLC and constant hot water!

Good things: the apartment is right opposite the seafront, central to everything and has fab views. Beds are comfy. Showers powerful. Niggles that could be sorted to make this a good stay experience: the balcony areas are all quite tatty looking and there were no seat cushions, even though it said there were in the pack. The inside sofas are very small for the size of the room and have seen better days, various marks and scratches on them, furniture generally quite shabby. Kettle desperately in need of a descale. Sinks in the bathrooms are tiny, anytime water is run it splashes over the side. No welcome pack on arrival but this was whatsapped through when I contacted the agent so we could log onto the Wifi. Check out times differ on the email from the agent (10am) and the welcome pack (11am), I did query but didn't get a definitive answer. The oddest thing was to do with the hot water which is not always available. We had to have cold showers one afternoon after returning from the beach as the owners apparently have the hot water on a timer so it is only available when they think it's 'normal' shower times. If you want it outside those times you have to contact the agent who then contacts the owner to turn it on remotely. Really the strangest set up. The place could be great with a bit of attention to detail but is really lacking at the moment.
