About this property
Tranquil sea breeze apartment, king size bed plus comfy fold out sofa double bed
Sea breeze apartment, 15 plus minutes walk from Estepona old town and ten minutes from the port. Private garden ground floor spacious 1 bed apartment (plus the sofa folds down to provide bed for 2 adults, bed measures 1.8m x 1.5m).
Notice- the sofa bed is only permitted to be used by children aged 11 plus or adults. I have a fold out cot for infants age 0-4. Sorry but I do not accept requests to sleep children aged 5-10 in this apartment as this is only a one bed apartment and I am the only owner on this floor or the floor above, who rents out the apartment in my absence.
Private garden with lots of plants and flowers and a spacious terrace with outdoors furniture and share and rain cover on half of the terrace. Quiet street. Very tranquil- which is precisely why I bought in this location as I live here winter season and rent out summer season.
Air conditioning/heater. Modern and very well equipped kitchen & utility room. Free access to indoor gym & pool year round plus outdoor pool )open about April to early November, shared with other residents of this apartment complex.
The apartment is south facing onto terrace & garden with very limited sea view.
The living room dining table kitchen space is one large shared space. There is also a nominated workspace chair and writing table.
Large TV with free netflix and amazon prime setup plus DVD player and collection of DVDs and books to make use of in the TV cupboard.
Very comfy sofa will seat 3 adults We also have spare fold out chairs, if needed plus the dining room adjacent 4 chairs.
The kitchen has all expected appliances and utilities from sandwich maker to microwave to food mixer and oyster knives, nespresso coffee pod machine and egg cups, electric stove top etc.
In the adjacent utility room, there is a 9kg washing machine dryer and iron board plus iron. Clothes drying line in garden plus dry stands.
The bathroom is spacious with power shower but no bath. Hair dryer provided and most likely toiletries.
The bedroom has king size bed and walk in cupboards.
There is a large terrace sheltered from the sun and then also a private garden with lawn measuring 10m x 4m. Sun loungers provided.
Free wifi at 65Mb/s upload/download with ergonomic workspace office chair & desk, in corner of the living room. Note that I have backpain & this is where I work from, when I stay here. This is set up to enable for a home working nomad!
The apartment has central heating air conditioning plus bedside fans and mosquito screen nets on both rooms into the terrace garden plus portable fans for bedroom.
A safe is available for use at no extra cost and fine cotton linen plus towels are provided. I have provided all the items that I could foresee any long stay guest might want such as personal items or toiletries etc.
Guest access
The apartment is on the ground floor of a 4 floor luxury apartments building with 12 apartments total. To enter, you need a key from the street to enter the gate, then a key to enter the building, then the house key.
Keys for free access to the indoor gym and indoor pool plus for the outdoor (summer only swimming pool) provided and free car parking space inside the building.
Other things to note
Please note that the apartment only has a very limited partial sea view towards the harbour as it's located on ground floor and this is a gated complex. However, you can immediately see those sea views and or mountain views and view towards the old town, from immediately outside the apartment and from the outdoor pool.

About the host
Hosted by Alasdair de Voil
Hi.
Estepona is a fun but laidback city & I chose to live here not just for the 300 days of sun per year but also the mountains for cycling- the photo of myself with ebike, that is just short walk away to top of hill on which the apartments are built. You can get 360 degrees sunset view up there! Plus we have great cycling routes along the coast and into the hills.
I live in this apartment over the winter and so it's a fully equipped home with everything even a cordon bleu chef might desire. I travel lots for work and I wanted to make sure, this apartment suits not just tourists but also a longer stay digital nomad like myself too- so it has a designated desktop computer space too.
I may like travelling but the hardest thing about travelling can be not being able to get a good night's sleep. I chose this home as it's so quiet to sleep and it is usually tranquil, when sitting out on the terrace too.
I won't be the person meeting and greeting you- as I run a walking and cycling guided tours company in Oxford, the Cotswolds and Bath, England. So it will be my estate agent, Carlos who will meet and greet you. He speaks fluent French, English and Spanish. When you book, I will send you his contact details.
Have a fun holiday and my tips for best places locally includes:
Playa Cristo for the kids to swim shall water bay, short walk away.
Galeria Huber or Pena Flamenca for live music weekends in Old Town.
La Escollera and El Cazador at the port for amazing food.
Eco and bike run by bilingual staff on Calle Malaga near Calle Teraza for bike or ebike hire.
If you want to book a guided walking tour, let Carlos know as he can also give you number for some local bilingual guides.
If you love to watch the sunsets over the sea, I recommend the bars at the far end of the seafront near Carrefour, such as La Buena vida bar or Sunset beach bar. The latter is run by really hospitable Jordan & Mikael from Cuba.
Sincerely,
Alasdair

Why they chose this property
I wanted to live in a smaller Spanish town and not just in a holiday resort. The climate and proximity to nature here, is hard to beat.
What makes this property unique
Sadly, it was supposed to have a sea view but it's a very limited sea view. So I decided to give the garden and terrace, something different you can also enjoy which few homes here have- a real gem of a garden with flowers and plants.
