Thank you so much for considering Mile High Carriage House for your Denver stay. We have a beautifully furnished 1 bedroom, queen size, 1 full bathroom + queen sleeper sofa in an upstairs carriage house with a wall of windows facing a tree lined park. Also, if you have a furry child, we are steps to a fantastic neighborhood DOG PARK where both you and your dog can get plenty of socialization with our wonderful neighbors and their pups! If bringing a pup, there are rules to be followed, so please read below.
Our carriage house has its own street entrance that is separate from our main house with a separate address as well. It is located above our detached garage. In our garage, we have quiet open, soft close doors, however, you may faintly hear occasional car doors close and car starting. We have thoughtfully furnished this space to ensure a cozy, cottage feel where you can retreat from life or embrace the downtown proximity to a plethora of coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries, breweries, parks and shops.
We are located in a very diverse, residential neighborhood 1-2 miles from the zoo, Nature & Science museum and Union Station/16th Street mall in the heart of downtown. We have a bus stop located just a quarter block from the door that can take you downtown and the light rail train station 6 blocks (an 8 minute walk) which will take you anywhere light rail extends. We are a 10 minute walk to the closest Denver B-cycle station; we have many stations throughout the city. We are an extended walk to RINO (River North Arts District), Uptown, City Park and Five Points or you are welcome to just relax and unwind at your home away from home. We have a washer/dryer in the unit along with new, premium stainless steel appliances, throughout, a 50 inch 4K SMART TV in the living space where, in addition to cable, you can access your Netflix, Hulu and other subscription services. We also have a smaller TV in the bedroom for the full R&R experience. As a bonus, we've been complimented on the height of our shower head so tall people don't have to be inconvenienced! We've tried to think of all your comforts for an enjoyable stay!

There is a private patio area just for the carriage house with table/chairs, umbrella and a BBQ to enjoy the 300 days of Sunshine we get in the Mile High City. We are still in the midst of planting trees and flowers in this space, but you'll be able to sit outside with a park view. We have 2 bikes and 2 helmets we offer once we have a signed waiver in place prior to use.
I have high standards for cleanliness and I treat our carriage house how I would want to be welcomed to a place I am staying: quilt, duvet cover, bath rugs, sofa blanket, throws are washed after every guest. Even our furniture gets steam cleaned and our floors steamed at least once a month, so please know the cleaning fee goes towards our cleaning crew who does a marvelous job to ensure you are staying in a very well-maintained place. If you are bringing a dog, there are absolutely NO PEE PADS to be used inside and your dog MUST be taken across the street to the park to use the restroom at all times as we have zero grass on the grounds of the carriage house, only mulch and a patio. We have cameras all throughout the exterior of our property and, if these rules aren't followed, you forfeit your deposit. We have had lovely guests stay with their furry pups, which has allowed us to continue renting to guests with dogs and we want to continue to welcome pups until these rules are no longer followed, then we will cease welcoming pups to our carriage house.
Also, kindly understand that power outages (thankfully has never happened to a guest, to date) are out of our control, as are internet outages, cable or anything else beyond our control if it is a block, neighborhood or city wide outage. We hope no one experiences it, but as a guest kindly understand we will likely be far more distraught than you if this should occur, and know, that when booking our carriage house, we will do everything on our end to ensure these are all in working order, but outages do happen and we cannot be held responsible.
