Nestled in a quiet corner just a few hundred yards from the centre of Stow-on-the-Wold is the fabulous Nursery End House. Impeccably designed, this wonderful property sleeps ten guests, in five exceptional bedrooms, with a family bathroom and two ensuites. The living areas flow effortlessly into one another, with unique artwork paying homage to the town throughout and every detail lovingly curated, making this an incredible example of a modern, stylish and spacious family home. Outside, the garden is laid to lawn, with a fabulous patio area for a spot of al fresco dining and the perfect place for your four-legged friends to explore!

The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

This house was ideal for our family get-together. It was warm , spacious and very well equipped. It was in a quiet street within easy walking distance of Stow centre. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of showers/ toilets for a large group.

We loved Nursery End House

6 of us stayed at Nursery End House and we absolutely loved it. The space was perfect for us and the location so close to the centre of Stow was very convenient. The house has been renovated beautifully. We loved cosy’ing up by the amazing electric fire and the provisions left for when we arrived were a nice touch. Had an issue with heating at one point but someone came out very quickly to deal with it. Blinds in the bedroom with velux skylights were a bit tricky to get to / close but thats a minor thing Was a really lovely stay in a beautiful property

Family pre Xmas get together

We had an absolutely brilliant stay at Nursery End House during December. This is an amazing spacious property that has been furnished to a very high standard. It is perfectly located in close proximity to the centre of Stow but still tucked away enough to be quiet. The layout is perfect for a family of all ages with a fabulous open plan kitchen and dining area for everyone to come together. The property was spotless. We have already booked again for next year!

The perfect place for a large group/family.

The house is a great size, well thought out, and very comfortable with 5 double bedrooms. We stay in Stow twice a year for Cheltenham Races and have already booked this property for March. It was the perfect base for five gentleman who value life's little luxuries.

Perfect Cotswold Stay

Fabulous dog friendly house for big groups, great location, nice to be so central to everything in the village. Would be better if the check in time was 3/4pm rather than 5pm, but overall it was a fantastic house and would definitely stay again

Family visit

We had a wonderful stay at Nursery End House. The property was amazing. Everything was there for our comfort . We would have really appreciated a later check out time of say 11am or 12..... Many thanks for a memorable stay.

A wonderful cottage

My friends & I have been staying in Stow for over 25 years in various B&B’s, cottage’s etc. Nursery End was by far the most memorable & perfect place for us to share. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone. As our group always says “Memories are better than dreams”

Weekend Chill

Arrived early and house ready to enjoy. Large rooms all well equipped for our stay. Comfortable lounge and bedrooms and spacious kitchen/dining room to socialise in. We didn’t use the outside area as not quite warm enough for it but town just a few minutes away and lovely to wander around. Would recommend staying here with friends or family. We felt it would benefit from a deep clean to rid of a few cobwebs high up and out of reach but visible. This in no way made a difference to our enjoyment…just an observation! All in all, a great house!

Nothing Better than Nursery End House

What a fabulous week we had making family memories at Nursery End House. The location is excellent, and room to park 2 cars off road, just great. The house had everything we needed and more, especially with our 7 month old grandson. We all thought the beds were comfy, if a little on the softer side than we're used to, but big spacious rooms, light and airy, fabulous modern bathrooms. We walked in to Stow in 2 mins from the house, which was great. The weather was just amazing, so we spent lots of time in the garden. It was all in all, a fab week. We highly recommend this beautiful house to everyone. X

Great house and location

Plenty of space, easy access to town, comfortable, garden space real suntrap. Could've done with instructions for velux blinds and cooker hood. Small mirror in middle bedroom needed. If could fit one more car on driveway would be good. We had a great time!

3 generation family stay

We were amazed at how spacious, clean and modern Nursery End house was and as there were 8 of us we were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped (although weighing scales would have been helpful!) The garden was safe for our dog and he loved the space downstairs. Excellent location - just a 5 minute walk to the square where there were lots of pubs, eating places, coffee shops and gift shops. The closest pub was The Bell, only 1 minute walk at the end of the road. One thing to note is that 3 bedrooms didn’t have a mirror, so would just recommend you take one. Overall, a lovely relaxed stay and we will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house and more than ample room for 8 adults . A lovely flow and felt very welcoming . Great walks to local pubs . Also well worth picking up the Moreton Marsh bike sign ( just. Right of exit of village ) for a walk to the Fox Inn Pub

Amazing house best break ever

We booked Nursery End House with StayCotswold. Booking was very easy and they sent lots of useful information. Would definitely book with them again. Now for the house itself… Wow absolutely amazing. We booked for a 50th birthday and it was just perfect. So spacious with a lovely homely feeling. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Spoke to the management team once and again very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for a break in the Cotswolds. The only downside to this house was having to leave at the end of our stay. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again. Thank you

A real jewel of a find!

This is our second stay at Nursery End House, the first with family and this time with 5 couples. The house was perfect for both occasions - I’m finding it hard to fault it! Really comfy beds, the kitchen had everything we needed and more! We ate indoors as well as in Stow (would recommend The Porch House) If I was being really picky, I would suggest having mirrors in each of the bedrooms as that was tricky with couples having to share bathrooms. We were lucky that we could use the outside seating area and BBQ this time around which was an added extra, although as per my previous review, there could be more seating in the lounge area for when the bi-fold doors aren’t opened (ie winter) as couples were squashed on the 2x sofas. Saying that - we will definitely be back - absolutely perfect location to explore all what the Cotswolds has to offer in absolute luxury

Weekend break with friends

Beautiful house situated within a short stroll of Stow on the Wolds. Spotlessly clean and well equipped and comfortable. Furnishings and kitchen very luxurious and high spec - better than home !! We were blessed with good weather and christened the Webber BBQ and were able to enjoy the patio area too. Stow is a lovely town with great pubs,shops and restaurants and good walks from the house. This is by far the best holiday let I have stayed in and we plan to return next year ! Thank you.

An absolute gem

What’s not to love about this perfect house literally 3minutes from the beautiful Stow-on-The-Wold! House was incredible, exactly as the pictures. The galleried landing and chandelier was stunning! Beautiful layout and flow. Plenty of room for the 10 of us. Beautiful decor throughout and bedrooms/beds were great sizes. Kitchen was beautiful - all the mod cons and great sized fridge! Had all the necessities we needed and plenty of plates, cutlery, etc. Nespresso coffee machine was enjoyed by us all! Loved the dining table! Only suggestions are as we stayed in a lot (Storm “Bert” put stop to our exploring) is a few more baking trays and the seating area in the lounge really only accommodates 8 so 2 people had to sit on dining chairs dragged in from the dining area. Already booked to come back next year!

Fabulous home in a superb location .

We stayed at Nursery End House to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday with all our family - 6 adults and 4 children. The accommodation simply couldn’t have been better for our needs and provided wonderful space for all of us during our three night stay. Being so close to the centre of the village also gave us the added bonus of a short stroll to local pubs and shops to avoid getting stir crazy! The house itself is superb - good size bedrooms throughout with two being en-suite plus a big family bathroom and downstairs toilet. Plates, cutlery, mugs and glasses were plentiful and catered well for the big family Sunday lunch we cooked during our stay. The only point to note was saucepans and serving plates were a little limited. We took our own tin foil trays which really helped with all the bits we needed to cook - meats, roast potatoes, veg, etc. Beyond that, everything we needed was on hand. The presentation standards of Nursery End House including decor, fixtures & fittings, furniture and cleanliness throughout were superb. To find such an upmarket home situated so close to Stow is remarkable. There is also a good sized garden with a big table and chairs for those staying in warmer weather. We parked two big cars on the private drive (secured by electric gates) and we found space for the third car to park on the road adjacent to the house. With a sizeable open plan kitchen (with separate utility room), adjoining dining area and separate sizeable living room, the children could watch tv and play games whilst the adults had their own space to spend time together undisturbed. This truly is an exceptional home and I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at Nursery End House.
