Lovely property and great location

We stayed (3 families) with kids and teens and the location was great for exploring the Cotswolds. The place is lovely - which was handy because it rained solidly the whole time we were there and so we spent more time indoors than we might otherwise have done!

We had the pleasure of staying at Waterhead Barn for a family cel celebration to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. Andy couldn’t be anymore helpful and was very quick to answer any queries we had. Wish i could afford to stay here every weekend - such a special place with memories made that we will remember for a lifetime

Spacious property

We enjoyed a three night weekend break at Waterhead Barn to do some yoga, country walks and relax. The house was very spacious and it was great that each bedroom had its own ensuite. Andy, the house manager, was really helpful throughout the booking stage addressing various queries and also during our stay. It was a lovely peaceful location, plenty of parking and the downstairs space worked perfectly for our group. We did a couple of long walks in the area and enjoyed seeing the racehorses go by in the mornings too! Aesthetically maybe there could be a few improvements/updates eg the bedding and the outside areas, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Lovely place

Had a great stay - lovely big place - warm and cosy- helpful reception and very clean . Comfy beds, nice linen. Perfect for large group. We had a wet weekend but the outside would be lovely in good weather. Easy access to Stow and other villages. Very rural - lovely. Great walks near by . Would return .

Lovely family stay!

We visited the barn for a long weekend to celebrate our parents 60th. There was 7 of us and 2 dogs and we had a lovely time. Plenty of space to spread around and have our own space if we needed it. The barn itself is lovely - a car is definitely needed to get around but it’s in a serene setting. The house is so much bigger in person than on the photos and in lovely condition. We would definitely recommend and visit again in a heart beat!

The location for a birthday weekend with the family was perfect and was a great space for everyone to be together. The house was beautiful, and lots of different space to socialise. The house was a little dirty but this was not a massive issues, could have used more outdoor lighting when trying to park as arriving in the dark. Great space would recommend

Christmas with friends

Great house ideal for 12 of us, so much room. Minor points but bathrooms need a refresh and some space to put things. No wardrobe space in some rooms. Don’t be mean with logs and things like dishwasher tablets, we are paying a good fee! I’d still stay here again

A family get together in the Cotswolds to celebrate a 60th birthday

We came for a large family celebration. All rooms had high quality en suites which were perfect for the number of guests. The living space was wonderful for groups either together as one or in small groups playing different games etc. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment for a large sized group (maybe one or two more fizz glasses?). Even though large the house was really warm and cosy and we used the log fire which made it even more welcoming after a walk with the dogs. Lovely walks from the front door and so quiet we would love to come back in summer and get the benefit of the lovely bifold doors and patio. Our host was extremely helpful and we felt completely supported should anything go wrong and the pre arrival information was both professional and useful (unlike some other companies we have hired cottages with). All in all a fabulous stay - only criticism would be maybe a little touch up in decoration here and there and maybe smarter curtains and bedding - other than than we are keen to come again!!

Customer service both from the company and Andy, the owner's rep, was very attentive, and the property is very comfortable. Location is beautiful. The condition of the property was ok, quite a few carpet stains and some of the kitchenware needed a good wash before use

Great weekend away

Had a brilliant stay at Waterhead Barn with a group of friends celebrating our 40th birthdays. Property itself was fantastic with a good sized kitchen/dining area and a great living area with good sized sofas and the open fire. Six double rooms all with en suite which is brilliant. Location is good too with plenty of places within a very short drive and Stow on the Wold comfortably within walking distance. Andy was really helpful in checking in and answering any questions. Great stay!

Very Comfortable Stay - Great for Large Family/Friend Gatherings

Very enjoyable stay. Fantastic that all rooms are en suite. Large living area ideal for family and friend get togethers. Log Fire was very nice at this time of year. Ample parking. Great location for Cotswolds Towns and Villages. Purely as constructive criticisms are that there were only two tea towels in the kitchen which was inadequate for 12 people for 3 days. Some bedrooms were toasty warm but a couple of the bedrooms were cold as the radiators failed to work- I think it's probably something as simple as bleeding them could solve the problem. The two ring gas hob in the kitchen was tricky to light - perhaps either a service or replacement there could help. A few cobwebs up on the beams - tricky to reach I know. And finally the barn would benefit from better signage at the entrance - What 3 words works beautifully but not everyone is tech savvy enough to have that. That said please don't let any of these criticisms put you off booking this house - these are just points to bring to the owners attention to enhance the stay. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Great place for a family gathering

10 of us aged 2 - 75 had a great time. The space was amazing allowing us to spread out and relax We particularly liked the two big tables and the amount of crockery, glassware etc

Fantastic family Accommodation

We stayed 2 nights at Waterhead Barn for a family get together. The was plenty of room for three generations to hangout and have some fun. Lovely property and a good location close to many of the Cotswolds highlights.

Great Weeks break

A room for everybody, brilliant no one triping over any one else and loads of places to visit within a half an hours drive. Very clean area and the locals seemed friendly. All in all a very happy and comfortable stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Waterhead Barn. The house was very comfortable, lots of space, really clean, beautiful setting, nice and quiet. Just what we needed! The check-in process was excellent, we would definitely come back.

Had a fantastic time with the family. Lovely barn with some lovely features and well managed

Had a great time at the barn. Its well managed and the welcome beers were a great hit as was the cake. Andy was a great caretaker and he explained things clearly and was very approachable. Nice and quiet location and would definitely recommend.
