Kråkenes lighthouse is also worth a visit. The most famous attraction in the area is on the island of Selja with a monastery from the 12th century. There are scheduled boat trips from the village of Selje, the trip takes about 10-15 minutes. If you want to enjoy the sun and lazy days during summer, there is a great beach about 15 km away near the center of Selje. Otherwise, there are good swimming opportunities on site. With a fishing license, you can fish in the salmon and trout river Åheimselva 20 km away. The lake Berstadvannet is 9 km away. Selje is a municipal center with shops, cafes, and restaurants.
