à propos de cet hébergement
La Tana degli Orsetti Barrea (AQ) (open-air museum) overlooking the lake
La Tana degli Orsetti is a cosy structure with its own entrance. On the ground floor, the kitchenette, and the staircase that provides access to the sleeping area has a brick arched entrance. The vaulted structure makes the room warm and cosy. The kitchenette is equipped with dishes, crockery, pots, glasses, and everything you may need for a short or long stay. In the dining area there is a sofa bed set in a very comfortable environment with typical masonry cupboards. In the second arch a small bathroom with washing machine, then up the stairs to the bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed. Bathroom with shower/tub inside the room. The position of the Tana degli Orsetti is very central, it is located near the pharmacy in Barrea, a few metres from the "curvone" that allows you to admire a fairytale landscape, with a view of the enchanting Lake Barrea
Barrea is a small medieval village perched on a spur at 1066 metres, overlooking beautiful Lake Barrea, a picturesque lake nestled between the mountains. The lake is surrounded by lush forests and offers breathtaking views. It is a popular place for fishing, boating, and kayaking. There is also a lakeside promenade where visitors can take pleasant walks and enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings. Guarding it all are the two towers: the Round Tower and the Square Tower, which are still there today. Barrea is an excellent starting point for wonderful excursions both in the wooded slopes, rich in fauna, and in the higher and more deserted south-facing areas, with rare species of flora. Starting from Barrea, one can visit: Alfedena, Castel di Sangro, Roccaraso, Rivisondoli, Pescocostanzo, Pescasseroli, Scanno and easily reach the ski slopes.
