Beautiful and luxurious historic house in idyllic Suffolk village
Beautifully restored and packed full of Tudor charm, set in walled gardens with glorious countryside views and an excellent village pub on the doorstep. It sleeps 8 in 4 double bedrooms (or reduced rent for use by 6 guests). There’s plenty of space for all the family with elegant yet homely living rooms, wood burners for cozy nights in and a separate ‘Maltings’ den space for the kids to let off steam. The bedroom layout ensures maximum privacy with separate staircases to the guest wing and to the luxurious primary suite with its gorgeous 17th century wooden panelling looking out over rolling fields. The downstairs bedroom and ensuite has its own entrance from the garden, ideal for teenagers, or those seeking ultimate peace. The lovely garden has ample lawn space for games and picnics, and a BBQ for alfresco dining in the summer. For those keen to explore, there are walking and cycling paths directly from the house, and an historic village pub with good food just a 2 min walk away.
What an amazing house, we loved spending the weekend here. Every room was beautiful and the historic details of the house are stunning. Alice was an excellent host and made our stay so special. The kitchen is well equipped and with a large table it was big enough for all of us to sit around together for breakfasts and the wood burner in the lounge made our winter weekend warm and cosy. I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting a unique stay, long or short.

Fabulous setting
It was a lovely old/historic house with a few quirks. Enjoyed the croquet and the walks. It could do with another shower
