Here, no Wifi but wood, mostly local and sustainable materials, local produce, organic, and human warmth, for true digital disconnection and a return to basics. Our chalet Chez les Rougequeues invites relaxation, facing the mountains, in a preserved environment within a high-Savoy hamlet.

On the ground floor are a double bedroom (140 x 190 cm), a bathroom (with walk-in shower), and stairs to the kitchen/living area. A mezzanine has 2 additional futon beds (90 x 190 cm).

To introduce you to the world of low-tech, this chalet has dry sawdust toilets, a system we’ve used for over ten years.

Norwegian pot, shower pitcher, water flow reducer (yet comfortable!), mini Bob dishwasher, organic cotton sheets and towels, inspiring books… complete the set.

Each morning, we deliver a baking kit with fresh bread and local or homemade specialties.

Here, we invite you to slow down, reconnect with what matters, and free yourself from the constant demands of daily life during your stay. Less screen time, more presence: with yourself, others, and nature.

We are convinced that nature is the best ally to cultivate serenity — and regain a calmer, more balanced focus.

Thus, wood, preferably local or from renovated traditional farms, crafted by local artisans, features prominently in our spaces. Our hypnotic blue-grey clay-limestone soil inspired us to combine it with lime-based mineral plasters tinted with natural pigments.

We prioritise eco-building principles such as wood wool, hybrid materials, phytopurification, heat pumps, and reuse to reduce our project's environmental impact and offer you healthier accommodation — aligned with our values and your need to disconnect.

Dry toilets, Norwegian pot cookers, Bokashi composters, solar ovens… in our cottages, we also want to introduce you to low-tech solutions: fun, effective, and sustainable setups that cleverly conserve resources while promoting a simpler lifestyle, ideal for a “digital detox”.

Around you, we arrange the environment guided by permaculture principles, aiming both to inspire amazement at abundance and to allow you to enjoy it fully, free from unnecessary distractions.

You can also rest your car during your stay, and even put your phone aside. Enjoy our electric-assisted bike park, including cargo models, to explore our beautiful area at your own pace.
