Borgo Badia is immersed in the greenery of the Umbrian countryside, surrounded by ancient olive trees in a small oasis of peace and calm. The property is surrounded by a large garden of ca. 10,000 sq.mt., well-kept with cotto vases, flowers, bushes and a variety of trees, which is completely enclosed with bushes and metal fence. The farmhouse has a large stonework portico for outdoor meals with a large table and chairs, as well as 2 portable barbecues and a gazebo with table. The rectangular swimming pool, which measures 7 metres by 15 with a depth of 1-1.7m, is located in a beautiful garden with lawn and olive trees, in a quiet, panoramic position. There is a paved bathing area around the pool, with 10 sunbeds, 3 beach umbrellas, 5 parasol gazebos and an outdoor shower. The outdoor area is completed by a ping-pong table, a see-saw and a slide. All the external areas are all well-kept and maintained. Access to the property is via a footpath and gate.Interior
The farmhouse (400 sq. mt.), made up of 5 units, has been completely renovated and carefully finished by the owners who left nothing to chance, taking care of even the smallest details in the furnishings, characterized by period pieces, rustic tables, wrought-iron beds, linen curtains, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The ground floor entrance leads to the main body, consisting of a living area with sofas, fireplace, TV, small study and laundry room (washing machine, iron and ironing board). Compared to the main entrance, with independent access from the portico, there are 2 apartments, one on the right and one on the left: "Abete" and "Il Pino", both consisting of living area with a table, TV, a kitchen corner (electric oven, cooking stove with 4 burners, small fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, moka, blender, juicer, kettle), a double bedroom with air conditioning, a bathroom with shower. The entire “Abete” apartment, which is barrier-free, is suitable for the disabled. Adjacent to the entrance hall, an internal staircase leads to the first floor, where there are two apartments: “Ulivo”, composed by a living room with table and TV (and access, via 7 steps, to a small private garden with furnished gazebo), a kitchen corner (electric oven, stove with 4 burners, small fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, moka, blender, juicer, kettle), a double bedroom with a four-poster bed and air conditioning, a bathroom with shower. “Limone” features a spacious living room with table to sit the entire group, a sofa, two armchairs, a fireplace, a TV, access to a partly covered terrace complete with table and chairs, a kitchen corner (electric oven, stove with 4 burners, small fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, moka, blender, juicer, kettle), a double bedroom with air conditioning, a bathroom with shower. On the opposite side of the building, next to the footpath and gate, we enter (via 9 steps) into the “Cedro” apartment, consisting of a living room with table, TV, a kitchen corner (electric oven, stove with 4 burners, small fridge with freezer, extractor fan, toaster, moka, blender, juicer, kettle), a double bedroom with air conditioning, a bathroom with shower.

Borgo Badia is in the town of Castiglione del Lago, close to Lake Trasimeno, and is surrounded by olive trees in a panoramic location overlooking the Umbrian countryside, making it perfect for relaxing walks. The farmhouse is a unique offer, perfect for groups of friends looking to spend their holidays together whilst maintaining their own individual privacy.

Borgo Badia is located in Badia, close to Castiglione del Lago. Within the hamlet, it is possible to take a guided tour of the vineyards, of the ancient olive grove and the wine cellar. The town of Badia is in the hills overlooking Lake Trasimeno, and is the perfect starting point for exploring many of Umbria’s historic towns, as well as important Tuscan centres, like Cortona, Montepulciano and the marvellous Terre Cretesi area, all an hour’s drive away. Guests can also visit Castiglione del Lago, an Umbrian mediaeval hamlet, with its historic city centre, the Rocca del Leone, Palazzo della Corgna, and San Domenico church. The lakeside is perfect for those who love the sun, sport, long walks and hiking.
