Casa Monte Queimado in Porto Pim, Horta

Our restored fisherman’s cottage is located in the heart of Porto Pim bay in Horta. From the outside terrace you have a commanding view of the beautiful bay to your left and the bustle of the harbour to your right.The home is perched on the side of of Monte Queimado which forms one of the three natural reserves on Faial island, part of the marine protected area Baía das Caldeirinhas.

This property has a large master bedroom complete with a European king sized bed. The other bed is in an adjacent room, that is semi-private (one wall is connected to the staircase which is closed of by a curtain. It should therefore be considered as a non-private sleeping area such as a sofa bed in a living room would be. The house is build into the mountain side, over many decades and so has multiple levels as new areas were built. The bedrooms are located on the 1st floor (one up from the ground) and the bathroom on the 2nd floor. This house is not suitable for anyone who has problems with stairs.
