Great location room for the entire family! Sondra and team were very helpful with all booking and logistical issues and remained in contact when a maintenance issue arose, Our family loved the lift area and all the kids who were with us felt special with their own space. The house is in need of a deep clean - lots of spider webs and debris. The shower towels were small and the sheets (that we had to pay extra to rent) were microfiber and not cotton. The septic system alarm went off and required two visits from a repair company, one of which was a surprise on Saturday morning. The house itself is massive and has lots of space for larger groups and the dock is great for swimming.

Thank you Tiffany for sharing your thoughts. We do an annual deep clean and then clean after each renter. I would be interested in knowing where the debris was you mentioned and also where the spider webs outside? Our cleaner is very particular. You notified us of the alarm going off for the septic tank and we wanted to get that fixed as soon as possible so we do have a 24 hour service we call so it doesn't get worse or effect your time there. As far as the sheets and towels with a house that size you can imagine how many times we must replace those linens. We always recommend bringing beach towels for the lake. We do take these reviews seriously because it is always our goal that you have a 10/10 experience.

We had the most FANTASTIC weekend! The location on the lake was absolutely beautiful, perfect for swimming, and the house had everything we needed for a large group.We had 34 people, and one of the things we appreciated most was how many different spaces there were for people to gather, relax, or step away when they needed a quieter moment. It made the house feel comfortable and manageable even with a big group.The amenities were also perfect for hosting. There were so many games, lake floaties, multiple TVs, two full kitchens, three refrigerators, and plenty of space for food, drinks, and activities. It really felt like the house was set up to handle a group our size.Sondra was also very helpful and connected us with someone who could deliver wood for the bonfire, which made planning even easier. She also chatted with me before the big weekend to answer my questions and make sure we had everything we needed. All in all, it was a beautiful, well-equipped home and the perfect place for such a special weekend. We would absolutely recommend it.

Had the best time with all my friends at this house! We love how every room was different and loved the game room! We were in the poker room every night and on the dock every day! The check in and check out was super easy to make out stay that much better. The owners are very kind and generous. The house was super clean the beds were very comfortable!

We had a blast here at lake Gaston. Our family of 25-31 people get together every 2 years and this location fit us perfectly. Plenty of room to spread out into separate groups while also having room to all come together nightly for games and chatting.

Just spent another amazing week at Tropical Paradise with friends and family. The location is perfect being close to Washburns marina for the younger kids daily milkshake runs and off the main lake just enough to float all day peacefully! The game room and loft area is perfect for kids ranging from 6-26 and never feels overcrowded. The owner is amazing and checks in frequently to make sure all is well. We are already planning next summers trip to Tropical Paradise again!

Fabulous Vacation!

There were 16 family members and this house was perfect! Lots of room to enjoy ping pong, air hockey and of course, floating in the lake visiting with everyone! Location was wonderful…easy to get to the main lake. The owner might just be my new best friend…she was so sweet and outgoing! Appreciate the responsiveness of Lupita in answering questions and getting the house ready! We have been doing these family vacations for over 20 years and this was the best ever! Thank you!

Great Getaway!

Awesome property and host!

We had a group of 20+ family and friends staying at tropical paradise. We had an awesome time! Sondra and Lupita were friendly and very easy to work with. Would definitely recommend staying at this property.

Family fun

Perfect property for our large extended family get-together. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy a variety of activities at the same time. Property manager was very good to work with and responsive with all questions.

Spacious and great location

This is a huge house with ample space for a large family with a lot of children. Amazing location, dock and yard located on a great small cove just off the main lot. Owner was very accommodating and quick to try to resolve issues that we had. Was a great space for our family.

Lake perfection

This home has everything! My brother and I take our families every other year to the beach or lake. This home was perfect for all the different ages and so comfortable. Large kitchen and living areas, great for a large group. I would highly recommend this rental. The hostess is always available to answer questions if needed. The amount of amenities was incredible.

A relaxing place to work together

We gathered for the annual retreat for our arts organization to celebrate a successful 2022 and begin planning our activities in 2023. This location was very spacious and relaxing. It met all of our needs for gathering and discussion during the day and recreation in the evening. Big thanks to the wonderful host!

First time at Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would suggest that there be some instructions for the pontoon boat. It was not the typical put in key and go. Once that issue was resolved we enjoyed our outing on the lake Bees were a problem suggest you bring spray

Great house for families. Enough space and separation for both the kids and adults. The top floor was perfect for all children to sleep and play. The basement was great for the adults, the poker room was bigger than shown in the pictures. Main floor had the big kitchen, which was big enough for several people to work it at the same time and was fully stocked. We were lucky with the weather in December, so also got full use the fire pit, the dock and the kayaks. Owner was very responsive, answering our questions right away.

Memorable week

Despite Hurricane Debbie trying to put a damper on our stay, our group still managed to have a great time at our annual Lake Gaston trip. The house in itself was in a great location and had easy access to the stores nearby. Other than a few less than comfortable beds and lack of storage/pantry for a week long stay, the house had all the amenities and room to accommodate our large group. It never felt like we were on top of one another. Sonya and Lupita were very communicative throughout the whole process and that was most appreciated.

Large family reunion.

This spacious house was perfect for our large family to stay for a few nights. The house has enough beds and fully equipped kitchen for everyone. The view of the lake is beautiful and there are tons of activities to do depending on the season. We enjoyed the hot tub and taking a walk around the area. The huge kids room and game room was a big hit amongst the kids. The owners are very responsive and easy to communicate with. The house could be better organized and way less cluttered. Other than that, we had a great time and would recommend for large groups.
