Separate review for 1) check-in and 2) property
1) Check-in: A series of unfortunate events including a delayed flight made us arrive at the property at 10:30pm, instead of 7pm. The host was extremely upset about our late arrival, despite the fact we let him know of the delayed arrival time, and told us a few times that we "ruined his Saturday". We had to struggle up 35 steps with suitcases and a baby; the host did not extend help at all while he was watching us from top of the landing. Since this is not a keyless entry property, the host had to wait for us to let us in personally which I understand. Be sure to let the host know that your arrival time does not "inconvenience" the host.2) Property: Great location. 20 minute walk to major tube stations, depending on the line. Buses run just around the corner. There are grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants and other shops within 2 minute walk from the property. The beds are comfortable and clean. There is a balcony where we sat and relaxed in the evenings. One bathroom had smell from the sewage coming up the pipe.
