Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with lawn, gravel, picnic bench, and off-road parking for two cars. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. Town: Bere Regis is found in north-west Purbeck District between Dorchester and Poole and is a short distance to the villages of Moreton and Bovington. Athelhampton House is only a short drive away on the edge of Puddletown village. The village boasts St John the Baptist church which has a history dating back 1000 years where tours are given by church members, available between May and September. Close by are the villages of Briantspuddle, Affpuddle and Turnerspuddle, which are quiet and picturesque. Affpuddle Forest which is managed by the Forestry Commission is found south of Affpuddle village, with Higher Hyde Heath (managed by Dorset Wildlife Trust) found south of Bere Regis. For the adventurous, there are numerous outdoor activities within easy reach of Bere Regis including Quad Biking, and Hang-Gliding. Near to the Bere Stream, Elder Road Open Space can be discovered with its riverside boardwalk and bridge as well as the area known as Mays Wood which is accessible to the public with numerous trees and plants including orchids, which has been created by Brian May, the lead guitarist from the pop group Queen. There is a farm shop on Rye Hill which sells a large variety of local produce. There are also two village pubs and a village shop.
