Very deceiving description of this rental. Heaters did not work, showers and hot water were a major issue, we arrived to a freezing cold environment with a 4 month old. They turned a shed-like environment into a rental that is not ideal for families and the water issue was completely unsafe for kids. For the one minute the water would get hot, it was scalding and burned our 7 year old.
This is the ACTUAL place you are staying which looks like a shed BEHIND the house that is in the photos online.
Make your way through the side gate which has no lights
There is a table shoved in a room that has the fold out sofa bed that cannot be used once using the bed

Thank you for your feedback. I’m very sorry to hear you were unhappy with your stay, especially while travelling with young children. However, several points in this review are not accurate, so I’d like to clarify. Your check-in time was 4pm, but you arrived at around 11pm. This was absolutely fine as we offer self check-in, but it meant the property had been unoccupied for many hours. Unfortunately, our cleaning team forgot to leave the heaters on before your arrival, and I understand this caused discomfort late at night. Once switched on, the electric heating system warms the property within about 20 minutes. The space is fully electric with heaters in each room, and the main living heater usually warms the whole unit. We’ve hosted this property for almost a year with an 80% occupancy rate, welcoming many families and professionals. Our guest ratings reflect consistently positive experiences: 4.56/5 and 8.1/10 on other platforms across 181 stays for this property alone. All electrical and plumbing systems are fully operational. The electrical system was professionally inspected in 2023, and new bathroom fixtures were installed in February 2025. The property has no gas supply and all systems undergo regular checks. Fire alarms and extinguishers are also installed as standard. During a late-night call, you mentioned the electric cooker wasn’t working. It has since been tested and works correctly; the issue appears to have been unfamiliarity with the appliances. The name “Lodge” and the exterior photos clearly show the nature of the property. We take all feedback seriously, and guest safety and comfort remain our priorities. I’m sorry your stay didn’t meet your expectations, but the property is maintained to a high standard and the listing accurately reflects what we offer.
