Beautiful detached Lighthouse Cottage beside Roches Point Lighthouse which is a working lighthouse!

Spectacular views of both the Atlantic ocean and entrance to Cork Harbour - the second largest natural harbour in the world!

This is a true sanctuary, quiet and undisturbed. Exhale and recharge while you lazily watch beautiful sunsets over the ocean, wave at ships cruising into the harbour, or watch sea birds gather on the rocks below. You might even spot a cheeky seal or two, and on clear days you are bound to see some dolphins!

Roches Point was the last stop of the RMS Titanic before its fatal voyage...!

Golf: Five 18 hole golf courses within 15 mile radius including Fota Golf Club (home to Irish Open events) & Cork Golf Club to name a few.

Walking in the front door was such a breathtaking moment when we saw the inside and the panoramic views from both sides of the home. Absolutely a “winning the lottery” choice for our first stay on this family vacation. We so appreciate the owner’s helpfulness, the location, the neighbors and that we were able to rent this beautiful home.

It was honestly the best place we ever stayed at: amazing view on the Celtic Sea/Atlantic Ocean, great location on the coast in the countryside and at the same time close enough to the city of Cork, several nice extras like binoculars, a great host who warns well in advance on any hickups, ... I would recommend it to anyone!

We had a wonderful stay at the lighthouse! Watching the ships come and go was absolutely mesmerizing, I could have done it all day. The setting is so peaceful, and the lighthouse’s flashing light at night gave it such a unique charm. We truly loved our time here and can’t wait to come back! Check-in, kitchen facilities, Wi-Fi access, and transport access were all excellent.

This place is amazing!! Christiaan was so helpful and responded very quickly to any questions we had. Only suggestion I have is to make sure you arrive before dark as it can get a bit confusing. Otherwise this is a MUST STAY for anyone needing a quiet sea side escape or even a home base for day trips around the country. Thank You Christiaan for an amazing experience!!

Stunning views

The light house cottage exceeded our expectations. The views were stunning. The cottage is surrounded by ocean on three sides. The cottage is updated and clean with all the comforts of home. I highly recommend this property. The host, Christiaan is to get in touch with and very helpful.

Lighthouse Cottage

The cottage has beautiful views of the Irish Sea. The rooms were nicely designed with comfortable furniture. It was so nice and relaxing coming back to the cottage after a day of sightseeing. Our host Christian was so attentive and responded immediately, especially when we could not figure out the Wi-Fi. We all absolutely loved the cottage!

If you’re looking for a unique and idyllic place to stay in Ireland look no further than this wonderful cottage next to Roches Point lighthouse. Wake up every morning to look at the ocean and ships out of the large window. Go to the local pub and have a pint of Guinness and listen to the music. Talk to the locals and enjoy! We had a wonderful vacation in Roches Point lighthouse cottage.

Even the cows relax here.

A true gem!

We absolutely loved staying at the Lighthouse Cottage - a true hide away - quiet and serene! It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay, and the main bedroom overlooking the harbour entrance was a special treat! The two single bedrooms were more than sufficient for our adult family members.We can't wait to come back next year!

Absolutely stunning stay at Roche’s Point – unforgettable views!

Our stay at the cottage near Roche’s Point was even better than we had hoped. The highlight was without a doubt the breathtaking view – it’s truly something special and made every moment feel like a peaceful escape from daily life.The cottage itself is very comfortable and well-equipped for self-catering. There’s a good kitchen setup, and while the fridge is on the smaller side, there's also a freezer. Do keep in mind that a car is essential for getting around, and restaurant options in the area need a bit of planning. But with such a great place to stay and cook, we didn’t mind at all.All in all, this was one of the most memorable and relaxing stays we’ve had. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet getaway in a spectacular location!

Unique lighthouse retreat

This is a truly special place. The views from both front and back of the cottage are spectacular. We were lucky to have amazing weather during our stay and could enjoy the boats, the birds and the amazing scenery, ocean and harbour views. We could have sat all day looking at the views but there is plenty to explore with beautiful walks from the cottage as well as nearby towns and villages. The cottage is clean, comfortable and cozy. Christiaan was an excellent host and responded quickly to any minor questions we had. We felt so relaxed and rejuvenated after our stay and can’t wait to hopefully return again soon.

Truly Lovely Lighthouse Cottage

This is one of the loveliest places to stay! Stunning views of the sea (whether sunny or rainy) and a cosy, comfortable “home away from home” to view it from. The cottage has everything you need to cook, eat, sleep, and relax. We loved Christiaan’s Welcome Guide - filled with useful apps (the ship app was great to know the ships passing by), local recommendations (well stocked grocery store 10 mins away) and places to visit around Ireland. We used all the time we had to explore near and far - and still managed to see a few seals from the cottage! Thank you for everything :) We’d love to come back!

Slice of heaven

Much like the puffin, who can remain perfectly content in a little crevice on a cliff, no matter the weather or tides, this little cottage offers more than solace and peace, regardless the weather outside. From booking, to the day of check out, we only had joy. The only hard part was checking out, only because all good things have to come to an end, sadly...This place offers everything you will need for a week or weekend break away. The area lends itself to activities that would suit all ages and ranges from walking distance to a quick drive.There are also a good selection of restaurants and pubs nearby, but once again it's fully kitted for self service for a family.We can't wait to book our next visit!

My brother and I stayed here for 11 days while visiting Ireland, and it was absolutely wonderful. The cottage was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather most days, and the sunrises and sunsets were truly breathtaking.What made this stay even more special was that it’s located at a working lighthouse — such a unique and peaceful setting. We spent our days exploring castles, cathedrals, and pubs — there was always something amazing to see. We did take one day just to relax at the cottage, reading, cooking, and doing puzzles while enjoying the peaceful view. It was the perfect mix of adventure and downtime.It was such a treat to start each morning with tea in the front room or out on the deck overlooking the ocean. Having a washer and dryer was a big plus — we were able to do laundry midway through our trip, which was so convenient. We also loved watching the ships come and go and using the binoculars to look out over the water — more fun than you’d think!I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. It made our Ireland trip even more special.
