The Country House dell'Abate is a magnificent property resulting from a careful architectural renovation that has transformed a 14th century Benedictine monastic settlement into an exclusive place to relax. Defiled between valleys and forests with elegance it rises imposingly with a breathtaking view of the green mountains of Basilicata and the Small Lucanian Dolomites.

The Country House dell'Abate with its large communal spaces, both indoors and outdoors, is perfect for groups of friends or large families who want to spend moments of relaxation in the company but also enjoy total independence. The large outdoor spaces and the swimming pool, immersed in the large garden, will be the privileged place to admire the beautiful landscape.

Proceeding from the outside porch of the house, an avenue of about 20.00 m in stone slightly downhill leads us to the panoramic swimming pool with a cable car cover, which allows us to use it even in the summer rains. The pool, equipped with a Roman staircase with 4 steps, is 6 x 12 m wide and 1.50 m deep. All around are comfortable loungers for relaxing in the sun. In the area there is a sun shower and a wooden gazebo with table and chairs. The pool is sanitised with chlorine. On the terrace on the first floor we have the barbecue with sink, ready to prepare tasty grills to accompany a good Aglianico wine from Basilicata.

Its position makes it an ideal destination for travellers who love to travel, by bicycle or car, along the scenic roads that wind along the vast territory around the Camastra river valleys to discover small villages: Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa with the Flight of the Angel, the Tibetan bridge, the ski lift; Campomaggiore with the town of Utopia; Calvello the town of ceramics; authentic, fairytale villages where it is still possible to enjoy genuine, ancient cuisine.
If we wish, we can penetrate into the hidden and silent Basilicata where nature is the queen of the territory dotted in the distance by precious villages steeped in art and tradition (Tricarico, Aliano, Tursi, Venosa ) without forgetting the splendid Matera.

The property consists of the main building and an adjoining artifact.
The main building is structured on two floors connected only externally by a staircase that runs along the building.
The door to the first floor leads into a large entrance hall with a flowered veranda that leads to the 1400 dining room, the TV room with sitting room, fireplace and piano and the fully equipped kitchen; the French doors of the TV room lead to the outdoor porch with tables and chairs , ideal for breakfasts and dinners. The floor is completed by three guest bathrooms
On the second floor we find a covered patio from which there is access with separate entrances to two double bedrooms with divisible beds, entrance sitting room with bed-sofa for a third bed and two bathrooms with shower.

Next to the patio we have an access ramp that leads us to a large apartment with two double bedrooms with divisible beds, two bathrooms with showers , the central hall with an additional kitchen , living room with TV ( one of the two sofas is also bed ) from the balcony door of the hall and from one of the two double bedrooms we have access to a large terrace equipped with tables - chairs - barbecue - sink ; from the terrace a convenient staircase leads to the inner courtyard of the house and the main entrance.

The adjacent building is connected by the staircase exiting the lobby of the main building and the ramp without stairs connecting to the outdoor porch is developed only on the first floor. The rooms have independent access: 2 double bedrooms with divisible beds, en suite bathroom with shower, outdoor porch with table and chairs - 1 double bedroom with four-poster bed (not divisible), sitting room with bed- sofa, outdoor porch with table and chairs; 1 apartment with an additional kitchen, 2 double bedrooms with divisible beds and a large bathroom with shower.
