Nice place for a geataway
The home was clean and had everything that 5 adults needed for a comfortable stay. I would consider renting here if we are back in the area.
Thank you for ,staying with us.
We were in the area for a wedding and needed a place for a few families and this was perfect. The house was clean, spacious, and had more than enough room for us to spread out! The kids loved the free Netflix! The master suite is just beautiful! In addition, we enjoyed sitting on the deck and just enjoying the time together. You are also close to a few wineries, a great ice cream shop, and some shopping. Amila was very helpful and responsive to any and all questions and was a great host! We had 3 adults and 5 kids/teenagers and all worked out. Thanks Amila!
Thank you for staying with us ,really appreciate your feedback . Hope you come back .
Great location, Great host, Great house!
We had a family group of 8 of us traveling from Kansas City- four generations ranging in age from 9 to 91 wanting to explore this part of New York and we all loved the house and the area. The first floor master was perfect for the oldest couple who weren't keen on stairs, and the other 6 of us had plenty of room with the 3 upstairs bedrooms. We did have to share a bathroom on the second floor (there's another half bath in the laundry are on the first floor) but it worked out fine. The deck is huge and we enjoyed sitting and visiting and enjoying the views of grape vines and fruit trees. It was August and warm, but as long as we left the window unit on in the first floor bedroom and left that bedroom door open the house stayed cool. There are upstairs window units too so we were more than comfortable on both floors. There are train tracks nearby and lots of trains that pass through. It did not bother any of us at all - in fact we enjoyed watching the trains go by while sitting on the deck. It was the perfect home base for exploring Jamestown (Lucille Ball museum) fishing at Chataqua Lake, walking on the beach by the Barcelona Lighthouse, checking out the Grape Discovery Center just down the road, getting fresh veggies at roadside stands, and going to Niagara Falls (a 90 minute drive away). Amila was a great host - responsive to questions when I would e-mail and took care of a plumbing issue on a Friday within just a few hours. We had a great time and would highly recommend the house to others.
What a great house!
We booked this house for a family reunion. Great location, house very clean with many extra goodies in the kitchen! The host was very accommodating to questions and we found everything we needed there. I would suggest that the rooms with air conditioners leave their doors open as that is the only air for the rest of the house. We were in a heat wave, but used his fans and were comfortable.
Thank you Linda so much for staying with us ,hope you come back . We really appreciate your response and feedback .
My family stayed here to be outside of Erie. I wanted to explore Erie, but the drive ended up being much longer than I expected to go there daily. However, we were quite pleased with the location on the Erie Wine Trail. We were minutes away from 3 wineries to the East (We never attempted to go west on the wine trail). We were also minutes from the Barcelona Beach and Westfield. Although we weren't as close to Erie (Which I knew we were already a little bit away to begin with), we had the pleasure of exploring things we didn't know existed in the area.
The house was great. We only ended up using the King and Queen bedrooms. All 4 bedrooms were very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. I even asked the owner where he got the mattress for the king, because I thought about getting one for home. The bathrooms were nice, and the master was very spacious. We did have trouble getting water to stay in the master bath. It wasn't a big deal to us, so we just used the upstairs bath.
The kitchen and dining room were great. The deck was one of our favorite places. It is very large, with two seating areas. Be aware there are train tracks behind the house. The trains seem to go through constantly throughout the day. While my kids would hear every train coming and rush out to the deck to see them, they weren't so loud to be annoying or disruptive. The trains were probably my kids (ages 2 and 3) favorite part of the trip.
The pool was not in use, (I knew this prior to booking) but once it is fixed and usable will be a great addition to the rental. The kids playground was in bad shape, but again that didn't bother us, but would be nice if it were fixed or replaced for the future.
Lastly, the owner was very responsive and helpful prior and during our stay. I would consider renting here again if I were to visit the area.
Nice, spacious home and location
Amila was great - very responsive to all questions. The home was clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed our stay very much and will book this home again when we visit the area.
Thank you so much for staying with us ,hope to see you back again .
We are located right in the heart of the Lake Erie Wine Trail, the trail stretches 50 miles and offers over 22 wineries to visit and enjoy. We are nestled in between Lake Erie and Chautauqua Lake, so there is a wealth of boating, fishing, beach and water related fun to be had! We are a 15 minute drive from Chautauqua Institution, which is a not for profit community that offers events that focus around the arts, religion, education and recreation. During the winter months we are about 10 minutes from the heart of snowmobile country and the primary trails, also Peek N' Peak Ski Resort is only about 35 minutes away.
