"THE LIST"

Before I found Storytellers, when I was looking for places my family and I could rent for our trips to Orlando, I had a list. I expect you to have a similar list. A list of all the things your dream villa must-have. At the same time, I would both love and hate the list. On one hand, it would make me reject most of the villas I was able to find. On the other, it tantalised me with the dream of the perfect holiday destination, where everything was available and beautiful and… right.

When I decided to buy, I made a new list, a long list that made my realtor recoil in horror. My original list meant it took weeks for me to find a villa to rent. My new list meant it took months for me to find a home to buy.

You’re looking at the only villa that satisfied the list.

THE LOCATION

You’ve already read that Storytellers is set in the Indian Creek community and that it is one of the closest to Disney property. Did you know there is a little-known cut-through directly onto Disney property that avoids all the morning traffic?

Within a couple of miles, you have access to an array of restaurants, a bar, a pharmacy and a supermarket. Locally, you also have all the attractions, stores and restaurants for which the US Highway 192 is so famous.

THE AMENITIES

The Bedrooms

First, the bedrooms – there’s five of them, with four full bathrooms to make sure there’s no waiting around while the family is getting ready for a fun day visiting theme parks. That's two master bedrooms with en-suites (one king, one queen), one queen bedroom with its own bathroom and two twin bedrooms which share a bathroom.

Both master bedrooms have direct access to the pool deck.

Each bedroom has a 40in+ HDTV with a Blu-ray player, Disney+ and Netflix.

The two kids’ bedrooms are themed (princesses and pirates) and they'll love hanging out in them... There are even little white fluffy clouds on the walls!

The Cinema

Speaking of hanging out, have you seen the cinema? It can comfortably accommodate nine in its sumptuous stadium seating, so everybody has a great view of the high definition 122in screen (yes, that’s 10ft!). Your Mickey ears are in for a real treat with the excellent Yamaha/Pioneer Signature Series surround sound system.

If you’re not in the mood for a movie, stream your favourite music, or connect your USB media and enjoy the Jurassic Park pinball machine and arcade machine with a choice of 60 arcade games. Beware – it’s seriously addictive!

The Pool Deck

Once you finally tear yourself away from the cinema to come outside and enjoy the wonderful Floridian weather, the private pool deck is the place to be. It’s south-west facing, so it’s a true sun trap and is extended to give you the space you want, and enclosed to give you the privacy your family needs. A safety fence prevents wandering kiddos from entering the pool area. There is an outdoor dining suite, sun loungers and even a barbecue for you to really taste some outdoor living. The heated pool is a spectacular playground for the young and the young at heart. The spa is the perfect way to unwind and ease those aching muscles after a busy day’s theme park touring. The shaded lanai is a real outdoor living room, complete with a ceiling fan, cushioned wicker seating and even an outdoor HDTV! Finally, like the pool deck, the unique golf putting green is completely fenced, so nobody has to see how badly you putt!

The Living Area

The great room is the place to relax. Kick back in the leather sofas and be captivated by the 70in HDTV, or enjoy some family time with the Nintendo Wii, or one of the many board games available. There’s a dining area, a breakfast nook and fully-equipped kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances and a side-by-side fridge/freezer complete with chilled, filtered water and an ice dispenser.

Storytellers Villa has high-speed internet access with wifi and a printer/scanner so you can (through teary eyes, no doubt) check-in for your return flight. Nationwide phone calls (perhaps to postpone those flights?) are complimentary.

Free Disney Crowd Calendar

Unique to Storytellers, each booking receives a complimentary crowd calendar for the duration of the stay, allowing you to see which Disney parks will have the lowest crowd levels and which parks you should visit on which day of your stay so you can spend the least time queuing and the most time experiencing the attractions.

THE SERVICE

Storytellers is managed locally by an exceptional management company, who are only too keen to help make your stay as memorable as you want it to be. We can arrange for baby equipment hire if required.
