Great property but needed attention
The check in information up front was on the whole good, but would be helpful if details of where to park would be included. The property was generally clean but both fridges could do with a clean. Unfortunately we found several maintenance issues on our first day, and we were surprised that these were not flagged up and dealt with before. The kitchen sink tap was loose and fell over, several light bulbs didn't work, the downstairs WC pan had moved and needed to be fixed back in place and the downstairs WC didn't flush properly. Also, into our stay we wanted to make use of the outdoor space, but discovered that only two of the garden chairs were safe to use. The others are dilapidated and we felt unsafe. The property has clearly been done up with a lot of care and attention. The bedrooms are very comfortable so is the living space. The kitchen is well equipped and it's great to have a second fridge in the garage. The property manager was quick to respond, but needed to get OK to deal with these matters from the owners, so there was a lack of certainty and a delay with attending to those. The location is fabulous to explore Pembrokeshire. We did a lot of coastal walking and this was a great base. It's a quiet village, with a pub (we didn't visit) and a well stocked small store. We very much enjoyed our visit and would recommend the property to others. In the meantime we hope the cleaning staff will flag matters up in the future so that it's not down to the guests.
