You'll find this beautiful seaside holiday cottage in Dyffryn Ardudwy near Barmouth. Recently renovated, it has a magazine-photoshoot-ready interior which exudes a happy warmth. Glanaber sleeps up to six guests in two doubles and one twin bedroom, and is perfect for a relaxed family getaway.
The detached cottage sits in a quiet rural setting, within easy walking distance of the local pub and a gorgeous sandy beach. Far-reaching views take in farmland and grassy pastures, ancient dry stone walls, and the foothills of the Rhinog mountains. It really is a pretty special spot.
The local village is Dyffryn Ardudwy, a friendly coastal community flanked by the Rhinog mountains to the east and the Irish Sea to the west. It is a place of epic sunsets and rugged, timeless landscapes, and close to many of the region's most popular towns and attractions. Portmeirion, Harlech, Barmouth and Dolgellau are all just a short hop away by car.
Back at our cottage, a gravel drive leads to the front door which opens into a beautifully presented living room. There is an attractive slate hearth and exposed brick fireplace, and a log burner which comes with a supply of logs. We love the rustic beech window sills (they were reclaimed from the owner's local family farm), the luxurious limestone flooring, and the general vibes of welcome and warmth. Two comfortable sofas and a gorgeous mid-century style easy chair are just waiting to be sunk into.
The kitchen diner is a large bright space which runs the full width of the cottage. This is a dreamy place to cook up your holiday feasts. Bright, well laid out, and with some gorgeous design touches - stylish oak worktops as well as more limestone flooring and reclaimed beech window sills, it is a really lovely space. There is a handy breakfast bar at one end of the kitchen, and an attractive dining table at the other. Patio doors open out from the dining space into a sizeable rear garden.
Upstairs, the bedrooms - two doubles and one twin - are extremely comfortable and beautifully presented, with lovely fabrics and furnishings used throughout. There is a very attractive family bathroom with a large walk in shower and a free standing slipper bath, ideal for a nice relaxing soak in! We love the geometric tiled flooring.
Outside this beautiful seaside holiday cottage in Dyffryn Ardudwy near Barmouth, you'll find large lawned gardens to the front and rear, with access to an adjacent field. There is an attractive raised dining patio for al fresco food and drinks, and beyond the garden the splendid sandy beach is less than a mile / 15 minute walk away.
We’re happy to welcome 3 well-behaved dogs! Please keep them supervised at all times and don’t leave them unattended. To keep the space comfy for everyone, we kindly ask that they stay off the furniture and out of the bedrooms.
Feel free to bring their favourite bed, blanket, and anything else to make them feel at home!
