Villa "Casa do Alpendre" is located just 20 minutes from Fuseta beach, on the outskirts of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo — a small village in the municipality of Tavira. Set in a region often described as one of the Algarve’s best-kept secrets, the villa sits in a lush green valley near a brook, offering a truly peaceful and quiet atmosphere.

Despite its tranquil setting, it's just a 15-minute drive to the larger towns of Tavira and Olhão, with easy access to all amenities. Santa Catarina itself has a charming local market, perfect for bargain hunting, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby for dining out.

The villa features its own private pool, ideal for relaxing, with deckchairs and shaded areas on a spacious terrace. At night, the bright starry sky — thanks to zero light pollution — offers magical views. The terrace also includes a comfortable outdoor dining area with teak armchairs and a table for four, perfect for enjoying meals al fresco, surrounded by the beauty of the Algarvian hills.

Inside, the open-plan living area includes a dining table and a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, microwave, pyrolytic oven, and ceramic hob. There’s also a cosy lounge space with a large sofa, a log fire, and an LCD TV with cable channels — ideal for cooler evenings.

With two double bedrooms and two bathrooms (both with showers), "Casa do Alpendre" is perfect for couples or small families seeking a peaceful getaway, while still having plenty to explore nearby during their stay.

We have just spent a week at this gorgeous property, it served our every need. Everything we needed was provided to enable us to live very comfortably during our stay. The special touch of a welcome pack with local honey, olive oil and bottle of red wine was much appreciated, and the option to collect fresh eggs daily was taken up...we had them for breakfast most mornings.The casa is nestled in a quiet valley, the only sounds are from nature, birds, bees, & the occassional dog bark. Our idea of perfect!The pool was a lovely edition, and added a challenge element to take a refreshing dip even though the water was very cold this time of year.A car is a must, to enable you to get about easily. We enjoyed the many walking routes in the local and surrounding area and visited many Portugese snack bars and restaurants off the beaten track. A trip to Tavira Island is well worth it. We were fortunate to have wall to wall sunshine for every day of our stay, this together with the fabulous Villa makes it a 10 out of 10 holiday memory.We highly recommend and we will definitely return in the future.

Un véritable coup de cœur Excellente communication avec Nelson, toujours très réactif dans nos échanges avant et pendant le séjour.Sur place, nous avons été reçus avec énormément de gentillesse par Magda et son papa Fernando qui se sont adaptés à notre organisation. Un accueil familial, sincère et fait avec le cœur Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le petit panier d’accueil composé de produits locaux délicieux.Un énorme merci à Fernando qui, lors d'un petit problème technique est venu nous dépanner très rapidement et avec efficacité. Pour s'excuser du dérangement, il nous a même offert des petites douceurs ... une attention qui nous a vraiment touchés !La maison est nichée au cœur des collines, avec un jardin très agréable. Elle est parfaitement équipée et offre beaucoup d’intimité. La piscine est un vrai plus, tout comme le barbecue et les petits salons de jardin qui permettent de profiter de différents coins.Nous avons adoré la présence des pouleset la possibilité de ramasser les œufs frais ainsi que les oranges que nous pouvions cueillir chaque jour.Un petit havre de paix, au calme et très bien situé pour découvrir l’est de l’Algarve. (Un véhicule est néanmoins nécessaire)Nous repartons avec de merveilleux souvenirs et le sentiment d’avoir découvert bien plus qu'une location : un lieu où nous avons été accueillis avec chaleur et générosité.Nous recommandons cette adresse les yeux fermés.

Accueil chaleureux Logement d’une propreté irréprochable Service au topSituation géographique appréciable Tout était parfait, nous avons passé un séjour mémorable dans un logement avec une vue imprenable et sans vis à vis. Idéal pour 2 couples ou comme nous couple avec 1 enfant. Merci à Magda pour son accueil, au gentil monsieur qui s’occupe des fleurs et de la piscine et merci au propriétaire des lieux. Es war super! Die Gastgeber super nett und herzlich,das Haus gemütlich und mega sauber! Es ist alles da was man braucht. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Der Pool ist sehr schön und von der Größe total ausreichend. Eine schöne Erfrischung. Vielen Dank!

Nous avons passé un fantastique séjour à la Casa do Alpendre de Nelson !La maison est exactement comme décrite sur l'annonce. L'extérieur avec la piscine, les deux coins repas et les deux salons de jardin est vraiment génial. Tous les matins, les enfants allaient cueillir des fruits dans le jardin et ramasser des oeufs dans le poulailler pour un super petit déjeuner 100% maison, quel plaisir !En plus de cela, l'accueil par les hôtes a été vraiment très chaleureux, nous nous sommes vraiment sentis bienvenus. Nous recommandons à 100%, allez-y les yeux fermés !

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in dieser Ferienunterkunft, es war alle da was man braucht, die Küche war super ausgestattet und das Ambiente war sehr schön, als Naturliebhaber war es für uns herrlich. Der Gastgeber war sehr zuvorkommend und hat sich sehr gut um alles gekümmert. Wir würden diese Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen.(die Hühner auf dem Unterkunftsgelände sind ein kleines Highlight)! wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt!
