Friendly hosts, beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a short weekend getaway to enjoy the local bike trails, and the outdoors. Jim and Theresa were the most personable and attentive hosts we have experienced yet with vrbo. The kitchen was clean, and stocked with all the utensils we needed, along with other goodies. We enjoyed the patio and the pool, and Jim was gracious enough to give us a tour of the barn to meet some of the horses which we really appreciated. The pool is just as nice as it looks in the pictures. We would love to visit again.

A hidden gem!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this property in August and the pictures do not do this place justice. It is clear that the owners have put a lot of love and hard work into this place - and they are some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet. The pool alone is worth a go, truly. The suite is exceptional - beautifully decorated, clean and stocked with anything you could possibly need, even a breakfast sandwich maker, and lots of goodies as well. My only regret is I couldn't stay longer. This is a great place to stay if you want a lovely, quiet, rural base while touring the area. Truly a hidden gem, don't hesitate to visit.

Loved it.

Lovely house, great location for exploring Washington. This has to be one of the most well equipped homes I’ve ever rented. Lovely and clean. The pool was fab. Jim and Theresa were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great Experience! Beautiful Grounds!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 stayed here and we had zero complaints! The entire experience was great, the pictures don't do it justice. We loved where we stayed, everything you need will be available, to include an amazing pool with upper level waterfall, grill and sunshine! Our boys pretty much lived in the pool the entire stay. Jim and Theresa are super friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a quiet, private getaway on a beautiful "Italian like villa" grounds. There are many close parks and shopping centers for the needful. We look forward to staying here again soon. Thank you again Jim and Theresa!

5 Star "resort" with peace and tranquility

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have asked for a better location, property, and hosts for our vacation. The pictures that are supplied on line do not do justice to the room and pool house. Jim and Theresa were more than accommodating giving us unrestricted access to the pool, which is inside of a stone pool house, is stone lined, and a few short steps from our room. The property was perfect as our two girls are avid equestrians and enjoyed being around the horses. There are nice paths through the paddocks and in the nearby woods to talk peaceful walks. The property location is idyllic, secluded from the city and loaded with deer and other wildlife. Located halfway between DC and Baltimore. We were also able to take in some Civil war history at Sharpsburg, about an hour's drive. Although the Metro to DC is within 10 minutes we elected to drive in and out of the city with ease, as long as we stayed clear of the morning and evening commuter traffic. Our hosts were incredibly kind to us. They left us information for multiple convenient ways to view the DC 4th of July fireworks without crowds or traffic. I would highly recommend this property to other renters. My wife and I have now used VRBO for several vacations and Jim and Theresa were by far the kindest and most accommodating hosts. There is shopping located within a few miles, but you will feel total seclusion, in a peaceful setting, with a comfortable, clean room, and beautiful pool and property, and fantastic hosts.

Peace and paradise

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently stayed for 5 nights with our three children. To say that our hosts Jim and Theresa were accommodating is a gross understatement. They made us feel welcome, providing us with little niceties that are not often seen in guest rentals. Their property was spacious, beautiful, cozy and very clean. Our privacy was highly respected, so much so that at times we did not realize there was a working farm/business our entire time there! The peacefulness and unique traits were a welcome change to my family's daily sightseeing adventures in nearby DC during our vacation. In addition my three children were able to enjoy the private pool on the grounds without interruption while my husband and I could relax on the spacious courtyard surrounding it. I highly recommend this property to any family or any couple needing a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Thank you Jim and Theresa!
