A cozy stay in Arcata

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed for two nights during our nieces graduation weekend. The interior of the house itself was very clean and had all the amenities needed for a easy, comfortable stay. The location of the house was perfect to get into downtown Arcata (5 minutes) and Humboldt State University (6-8 minutes), it was even closer to the highway (maybe 3 minutes). However, the BEST part of staying at this location were all animals running about! We got to meet Lucy and Emma who are their dogs, we also got to hang out with the many, many, sheep hanging out around the house. Between the location, the animals and the quick responses by the owner to my many inquiries this place couldn't have been better for our trip to Arcata. We hope to stay again in the future!

The cottage is well appointed and well stocked. Angela is a marvelous hostess, considerate and caring. Animals are entertaining. I recommend that anyone stay here while in the area.

Wonderful little cottage

  • 5 of 5

The little cottage of Angela is very charming and comfortable. You just enter and feel at home. Angela thought of everything - 2 TVs, a chimney, even a dishwasher. And everything is new and spotless clean. Also the whole place has a warm touch in every detail you find. Unfortunatly we stayed only for 2 nights - we hope to come back. Highly recommended-

Great little cottage in beautiful area

  • 5 of 5

This little house is a gem. We were very impressed with how clean and new the house is. Angela has paid special attention to the small details. The bed is very comfortable and the sheets and towels are clean and new. It's a perfect little getaway and feels secluded away from the busy side of life. We will definitely stay there again when back in Arcata.

Cottage in Arcata, fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

Angela and family were very helpful and welcoming. The fresh flowers throughout the cottage were gorgeous and such a beautiful welcome. The cottage is roomy enough for two and has everything you need. The sheep were fun to watch each day and Emma and Lucy (the dogs) were very friendly. We chose Arcata because it is situated between the Redwood Forest north of us and the Humbolt redwood forest south of us. We were able to hike in the redwood forests everyday. Arcata also has a large community forest with second growth redwood trees in it. The hiking was great. I will be back! We had a fantastic time thank you for having us.
