Summary:
This charming, Victorian terraced property is deceptively spacious as it has four floors of accommodation with well-proportioned rooms and period character. What’s more, Gray Street is within a short walk of Whitby's town centre and harbour so it's perfectly located. Built at the turn of the century, this property sits proudly above Whitby Harbour and has views of Whitby Abbey in the distance. Whether you're travelling with friends or family, Gray Street promises a great base to stay on the North Yorkshire coast.

The Space:
On the ground floor, there is a through lounge / dining area perfect for relaxing and socialising. With a fireplace and bay window that lets in plenty of natural light, the lounge is a wonderful place to unwind after a day of exploring Whitby. There is also a WC on this floor.

There is an open plan kitchen diner on the lower ground floor. With solid oak cabinetry and a dining table with seating for up to ten, this is the hub of the house where you can prepare and enjoy home cooked meals during your stay. This floor is also home to a utility and a pantry store.

Upstairs on the first floor, there are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. On the second floor, you'll find another double bedroom and a bedroom with a double bed and two single beds. All bedrooms benefit from having modern gas central heating and double-glazing to the front.

To the rear is an enclosed rear yard that has access to the back ginnel, making it suitable for storing bikes.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property.

The keys to the property are accessed via a key safe box. Further details will be provided prior to check-in.

Free on-street parking is available nearby on a first come, first served basis.

Just a short stroll from your Gray Street, you’ll find Whitby’s bustling harbour, where fishing boats bob in the water and fresh seafood is served daily. The town is renowned for its connection to Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and the iconic Whitby Abbey ruins atop the East Cliff provide spectacular panoramic views.

Explore the quaint cobbled streets lined with independent shops, cosy cafes, and traditional fish and chip restaurants. The 199 Steps leading up to the abbey offer a rewarding climb, while the town’s museums and galleries bring Whitby’s fascinating maritime and literary heritage to life.

With a friendly atmosphere, rich history, and an unbeatable coastal setting, Whitby is the perfect place to relax and explore. Whether you’re after a peaceful retreat or an action-packed getaway, you’ll find plenty to love about this timeless Yorkshire gem.
