Treat yourselves to our home nestled in the rainforest of beautiful El Valle de Anton, Panama. My caretakers are very attentive and will help you in anyway they can.
A piece of Paradise: has a two bedroom, one bath house that can accommodate up to 6 people. It is fully equipped including walk in shower that has a tankless hot water heater system (You don't run out of hot water), All new standard fridge, inside washer and dryer, a six burner stove plus micro wave, etc. Everything you might need to cook with, extra towels, hammock, outside chairs, carbon or gas grill.(ask for the grills, they are kept in the shed).
The grounds are landscaped and very relaxing. It has a river that wraps around it and at a point runs through it. With its flora and fauna, it is a great place to take walks and explore. Since it is a little higher than town it is cooler at night and very pleasant in the day. Area has some of the best birding around! Wild pheasants, toucans, falcons and many more roost on the property. Gorgeous Blue Morpho butterflies along with various other species can be seen daily. This is a great place for environmentalist and birders looking for rare find or just enjoy nature. Don't pay the big bucks to go birding when the excursions are done right by this property and you can do it for free as many times as you like.
We provide: A cell phone, a little laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, sugar, salt, soap, shampoo and conditioner, dishwashing liquid, sponge, garbage bags and you may use what ever spices are there.
For people who need an immediate reservation day or night dont hesitate to call. For those who want direct inquiries here are directions to my caretakers house in El Valle.
As you come into El Valle there will be a grocery store called Centro Comercial de El Valle on your right side. Immediately following a small bridge you will take a right. That road should be called El Hato. You will find a place called Bartilitos on your left side ( it is a construction/materials type place) take your immediate left after that. Gisela and Carlos Greco's house will be on your left. It is a light orange house with an aqua green roof, it will be the first house on your left.
While in El Valle you might want to visit the Sleeping Indian, Cloud forest, Canopy ride, Serpentarium, thermal springs, Painted rock, zoo, go horseback riding, ride the bus system good and cheap way to see El Valle, indulge at the local spas, Bruchetas(awesome), Gourmet Food and Coffee, or Casa de Lourdes (RESERVATIONS REQUIRED). If you want to go less expensive but good (Tierra y Mar) is a nice spot. Don't forget the fresh market or local arts and crafts center at the center of town that is open daily, extra venders come on the weekend.
My caretaker can act as a guide to the sleeping Indian or local spot. Also a relative is a top birder and a professional tour guide to different areas of Panama. Mario Bernal speaks English and is a available for excursions with prior reservations.

I was born in Panama and I lived on this property when I was a child. I now live in Fort Walton Beach, Fl but I love to come home.
I have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren, one is old enough to say, I want to go to El Valle!
Valeri Dalton purchased this house in 2000
Beautiful location with incredible views and we wanted to preserve areas natural beauty.
Awsome place to relax and be as loud or quiet as we like since there is quite a bit of property. Great place to hike, see so many birds, plants and enjoy nature. Dry season brings on so many fruits, plants and flowers to fascinate those who appreciate the rainforest.
We had a great time in El Valle. Gisela and Carlos are very nice. Next time we'll probably opt for a place a little warmer, but we will certainly keep your email for a possible re-visit. We took some pictures but the ones you have on the website are better. We are attaching one of the hillside. All the pictures don't quite capture the full beauty of the site and the pleasantness of the house.

This CLEAN & COMFORTABLE casita is perched on a small hill surrounded by it's own private park. Beautifully terraced and landscaped, one feels like they are in their own private kingdom! Flocks of white egrets fly gracefully through the little valley, butterflies flutter about, the occasional toucan squawks and one catches glimpses of color from the many small multi-hued birds in the area. The sloth stayed in a tree near the terrace for 2 weeks---what a show!! There were fireflies in December--so charming! I stayed, alone, for 46 nights and was not the least bit bored. Definitely a SAFE location, too!
The master bedroom bed is comfortable, hot water situation is so-so and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and full sized appliances. It is about a 40 minute walk to town (gorgeous), but there are "hop on" mini-buses (50 cents) and taxis ($4). The caretakers and workers are all just lovely people and will help you in any way they can--best if you speak some Spanish, as no English is spoken. I suggest a stay of, at least, a week or two so that you may truly enjoy all that this enchanting valley has to offer. Many restaurants and stores to chose from.
The only possible downside is the internet situation (which the owner plans to rectify in March, 2015). If you MUST have strong, dependable, constant access--well, this might not be the place for you. I suggest checking with the owners for an update. The owner was most helpful and easy to work with--quick with replies to any and all questions. This is definitely a TWO THUMBS UP property. Should you chose this property, you will be THRILLED with your choice. Really!
We just checked out after three wonderful days in this quaint little place. After spending 7 days in the hustle and bustle of Panama City, this was a wonderful spot to relax in peace and quiet.
The place is well appointed with a complete kitchen for making meals. Grocery store El Rey is well stocked.
Love the large room with several beds for family. Lots of movies, games and cards to keep everyone occupied.
My only recommendation would be ti install a fan in master bedroom. We weren't lucky enough to have the cool weather that El Valle is famous for.
We will definitely try to rent again.
Just returned from two weeks in this super location. Surrounded by nature's best, we would wake up early, grab a coffee, and go outside to just listen and watch the rainforest come alive. Birds of all sizes, colours and songs would give us quite a show. We even got to see the elusive blue crested Motmot on more than one occasion, and a momma sloth and her baby spent two days in a tree right on this property. Wow! Inside the home you had everything you would need, and we appreciated use of the barbecue so we could remain outside and soak up the incredible views from the patio.
We enjoyed the town of El Valle, and ate in town a few times, which was both delicious and very affordable. We did the local tourist sites, the market, the zoo, pictographs and waterfalls. The caretakers, Carlos & Gisela and also Antonio were friendly hardworking people, and kept the property looking amazing. We took many walks down by the stream and checking out the trails up the mountainside.
We met the owner, Valerie, at the end of our stay, and she was very patient and helpful, answering our many questions about the area. We would love to be able to return again in the future. Thanks Valerie, Carlos, Gisela and Antonio for sharing this property and keeping it the way Mother Nature intended. Peace and serenity at its finest!!

We had such a peaceful and relaxing 9 day vacation in this comfortable house. The gardens are gorgeous and lush. Carlos and Gisela were kind and very helpful. We hiked along the river daily and climbed the hill behind the house. Beautiful birds and butterflies and the sound of the waterfall was so peaceful. We used the grill three nights, and I cooked several meals and found all the equipment necessary. The new supermarket had all the spices and salad ingredients, etc., that we wanted. We never missed the a/c. We took trips to the beach. We will definitely be back!
Where to begin? How does one describe heaven? The blue-headed mot-mot (check them out on google images) sighting on the property. Butterflies everywhere, some huge, even saw the Blue morpho a few times. The creek/river (depending on whether or not it just rained) lulling us to sleep at night. The hammock overlooking it all. Being able to cook meals at home. Waking to birds. Being in a very quiet valley within the valley of El Valle ( important because the local high school practices their drum and bugle corps till 10PM with a lot of enthusiasm and noise, and not as much talent).
Carlos, Carlos Jr. and Gisele were the best. So friendly and helpful.
The property was perfectly maintained, the house snug (a BIG deal in the tropics, bug-wise). So peaceful. Valeri was so easy to work with. Definitely going back.
Thank you so much for the use of your casita :)
Thank you for sharing your home with us! After the trip up from Panama City, what a wonderful surprise to arrive in such a beautiful spot. The sloth was kind enough to be visible in his tree. Our grandsons found lots of places to explore and we enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching the mist blow through the hills.
We'd love to return someday and would recommend your home to anyone looking for a lovely, relaxing spot.
Super birding, great for hiking and exploring. Many of the areas professional tour guides bring people right by the house. Area has beautiful flora and fauna. Kids love the river by the house and have lots of room to run and play. Great beaches nearby such as El Palmar for a change of scenery. Some area attractions are the zip line, zoo, hiking to sleeping indian and many more.
