Summary:

Charming Victorian home is just a 15-minute walk to Cambridge city center. This 3 bed house has been well modernized and offers everything you'll need for your stay. The property features 2 standard double bed, while the third bedroom has a small double bed. Our home features a new modern kitchen and a lovely lit garden. We offer an allocated OFF-SITE FREE PARKING SPACE. Please note that we provide a parking permit for 1 vehicle only.



The Space:

Up to 2 well-behaved pets are welcome, but we ask for £35 per pet/per week.

The Neighborhood:

Abounding with exquisite architecture, exuding history and tradition, and renowned for its quirky rituals, Cambridge is a university town extraordinaire. The tightly packed core of ancient colleges, the picturesque riverside 'Backs' (college gardens), and the leafy green meadows surrounding the city give it a more tranquil appeal than it is historic rival Oxford. Like 'the Other Place', as Oxford is known locally, the buildings here seem unchanged for centuries, and it's possible to wander around the college buildings and experience them as countless prime ministers, poets, writers, and scientists have done. Sheer academic achievement seems to permeate the very walls: cyclists loaded down with books negotiate cobbled passageways, students relax on manicured lawns, and great minds debate life-changing research in historic pubs. First-time punters zigzag erratically across the river and those long past their student days wonder what it would have been like to study in such splendid surroundings.



Getting Around:

Cambridge city center is just a 15-minute walk away from the house. Cambridge International Airport is a 22-minute bus ride away or a 10-minute taxi ride. Cambridge Station is also just 10 minute's walk away, with great connections by train into London and Stanstead Airport. The central bus station is also a 15 minutes walk from the house.

Once your booking is confirmed, rest assured that our price rates include fresh linen, soft towels, and the final cleaning fee. Additional housekeeping services are available upon request for an extra charge. You’ll have the entire property to yourselves throughout your stay. Enjoy the convenience of self check-in and settle into a professionally cleaned, well-maintained space complete with fluffy pillows, crisp bed linen, and all the essentials for a comfortable and relaxing visit. Kindly let us know in advance if you’ll be bringing a service or emotional support animal.



PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO REVIEW THE HOUSE RULES PRIOR TO BOOKING. We have a strict policy against parties or events of any kind on the premises. The lead guest must complete the online check-in form, agree to our Terms & Conditions, and upload at least 1 ID before check-in. Forms must be filled at least 24 hours prior to the check in date. We operate a self-check-in system and cannot meet our guests to check their IDs and verify guests in person. Failure to do so may result in the reservation being cancelled and the cancellation policy will still apply.



SAFETY & SECURITY: Please make sure you close and lock all the windows and doors when you are not on the property. If the property is found left unsecured (windows or doors open/unlocked) during your stay and/or at check-out, we retain the right to charge a penalty fee. A fee will also apply if the keys are misplaced during your stay or not returned to the lockbox at check-out. Thank you, we really appreciate your co-operation!



A £350 security deposit hold will be placed on your card two days before check-out and released after your stay, provided no issues are identified. Funds typically return within 3–5 working days, depending on your bank. This does not apply to Airbnb bookings. For stays of 10 nights or longer, an interim housekeeping service or linen change must be arranged during your stay. Failure to do so may result in additional charges at check-out. Please do not wash our linens or towels, as they require professional laundering. Charges may apply for unauthorised washing, excessive soiling, or replacement of damaged items. Additional charges may also apply if the property is left in an unreasonable condition at check-out, such as excessive rubbish being left behind or dishes and cookware not being cleared away or loaded into the dishwasher.

Place is clean and spacious and coffee machine is a nice touch. Walls are a little thin but in a 100 year old home not much can be done about that.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped. It is an ideal location, about 20 min walk to town and a short walk to Mill Road, where there are lots of shops and restaurants. The living room is cosy and as it is at the front of the property, you can hear people walking past but it wasn’t too noisy and didn’t bother us. The beds were comfortable, though they are doubles and we felt the main bedroom would be improved by a king sized bed. There is easily enough space for one but we are a tall family so it may not be an issue for everyone! We also took our dog and had booked declaring with pets but it turned out the additional pet fee had not been applied. This only came to light when someone came to put the outside waste bins away in the back courtyard and our dog started barking. We were told they didn’t know we had a pet and we were then charged an unexpected additional fee of 35. We understand this was an issue with VRBO and it was not our fault. Our booking clearly showed we said we had a pet but we were asked to pay regardless. That felt a bit unfair but we weren’t going to refuse and cause a fuss. Would recommend others checking in advance if booking with pets, that the fee has definitely been applied to the booking by VRBO. All in all, this is a lovely home and we would certainly recommend it for a stay in Cambridge.
