Cherry Tree Avenue gite, 2 ensuite bedrooms with salon and kitchen.
Welcome to Cherry Tree Avenue on the border of Brittany and Normandy, a short drive (Less than 30 minutes) or cycle ride from Mont Saint Michael. The recent addition of a kitchen has created a perfect gite for up to 5 guests.
A stone built farmhouse set in more than half hectare of land, laid mainly to grass and planted with specimen trees, including the avenue of cherry trees. The separate ground floor gite comprises of a salon, kitchen and two ensuite double bedrooms with private front access and French doors to the rear garden.
The well equipped kitchen has everything you need including a microwave, kettle and pod coffee machine and is accessed from the rear of the salon. There is also a small table, chairs and bench seat with French doors leading to the grassed garden with a picnic table and stupendous views.
From the salon a hallway provides access to the 2 en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom has a double bed with the option of an additional single child's bed available for bedroom 1 and/or a baby's cot. Each room has double USB charging points at both sides of the beds, a wall mounted TV and a hairdryer.
Each en-suite has a spacious shower with both handheld and rain shower heads, a toilet and a vanity unit with a large mirror. there is a shaving point, heated towel rail and additional magnifying mirror.
An iron and board are also provided.
Sorry we do not have the facilities and cannot allow pets
The front door has one step into the lounge then everything is on one level and there are no steps inside apart from the kitchen which you have to step down for access. Bedroom door sizes are 70 cm which is fine for a small wheelchair.
High speed WIFI is available in all rooms.
The front of the house is south facing and the garden is mainly laid to grass
with specimen trees including the avenue of cherries, offering you the option of relaxing in the sun or shade.
There is ample parking and a secure building for bicycles and motorcycles.
There is some lovely bird life including, woodpeckers, buzzards, owls, kites and many smaller birds.
We are in a rural location. At certain times of the year there will be agricultural traffic so take care when out walking or cycling!

We have been living here for more than 7 years now and previously lived in Suffolk in the UK.

We are on the edge of a small village close to the Brittany / Normandy border. Close by there is great coastline with some lovely sandy beaches often with views of Le Mont St Michel. There are lovely towns nearby: St James, Avranches, Pontorson, Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët, Fougeres and more plus further away Rennes, St Malo, Dinan and Granville.... All offering different things and many hosting weekly markets.
There is a great airport at Rennes and further afield there is Nantes airport. There are a number of ferry ports including St Malo, Caen and Cherbourg. Plus there are smaller ferries operating from various Normandy ports to the Channel Islands and Chausey.
