The sleek rear kitchen extension comes fully equipped, and Bi-fold doors open to a sunny private courtyard with seating; a lawned garden lies just beyond (not enclosed). A secure cycle store—ideal for bikes and outdoor gear—is accessed directly from the courtyard. Upstairs you’ll find two beautiful double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room. The top floor offers two charming singles plus a separate shower room—perfect for children thanks to limited head height. One well behaved dog is warmly welcomed at Ivy Cottage.
Staveley offers an authentic Lake District escape without the crowds. Set between Kendal and Windermere, the village lies where the River Kent meets the peaceful Kentmere Valley—perfect for walkers, cyclists, and food lovers. Enjoy a riverside stroll toward Kentmere Reservoir or pick up the Dales Way as it threads through meadows and bluebell filled woodland. Cyclists relish the quiet lanes and testing climbs; hire bikes or get route tips from one of the UK’s largest independent cycle stores, right in the village.

These works will be carried out in phases and may cause some temporary disruption in the village:
The park across the river will be closed for the duration of the worksMain Street (the main road through Staveley) is expected to be closed from mid-June to mid-JulyFrom late July (earliest 27th July), works are scheduled to move to Gowan Terrace, directly outside the property, and may continue for up to 8 weeksDuring this later phase:
Vehicle access to the property and on-street parking directly outside will not be availableAccess to the cottage will still be maintained on foot via the front and rear entrancesThere may be some associated noise and general disruption during working hoursAdditional works may also be taking place on nearby roads within the village.
